Wish we could stay one more day. Its a great place and value for money. U get the free public bath during your stay and its not a crowded place. Could tell that theres some history in this place. Looks very old but its well maintance.

Matsumoto Jujo had the best hospitable staff that made me feel at home during my stay. they really take their time in explaining things to me, even during my course dinner, which made me learn more things about the city because of the ingredients they used in their dishes. The way they served you never felt transactional; it made me feel at ease with my stay and yearning to go back because of how nice everything was prepared for me.

amazing hosts and staff. Loved the private roof top onsen that my wife and I could share. Nice kaiseki dinner of local ingredients including some excellent wagyu and hand made soba noodles made by the owner. Our room was beautiful, with lots of attention to detail. We had to leave early in the morning and they were so kind in providing us with a packed lunch each since we missed breakfast

The personal was beyond amazing. They were extremely friendly and helpful since we arrived and cattered to all our needs. They were true professionals and showed that they care for their ryokan and its guests. Moreover, the ryokan was in perfect condition with a lovely vintage atmosphere to it. The room was finely decorated with genuine Japanese style. Truly a gem.

We really enjoyed the dinner and breakfast. It was so nice to have someone help us with parking our car. The service during our meals was excellent!
