The hotel was absolutely lovely. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us with a beverage, coupons for the restaurant, and tickets for the natural pools. The property is in a great location (literally right next to the volcanic pools), and they provided tickets for us to enter each day of our stay. The Seaview Restaurant was so good we ate there twice. Both times, I got the seafood pasta because it was damn good. Upon checkout, they sent us off with a card, a pen, and a little jar of apple preserves. If you're going to Porto Moniz, this is the best place you can stay.

Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse.

Amazing views, great location, friendly, helpful staff. We had to check out early on our last day and staff had a to go breakfast ready for us. Close to the village, which was beautiful and a great place for dinner and sunset. Highly recommend staying here.

The location is great and the hotel is very nice. Amazing breakfast, perfect with the rooftop pool and bar with very nice views of Funchal and the ocean. Also great with the Spa. I had a big and comfortable room with a kitchenette.

The level of cleanliness was absolutely exceptional. The staff in all departments could not be more friendly and professional. The whole hotel really caters for true relaxation and comfort from the comfy beds to the huge heated indoor pool to the roof top hot tub overlooking the port, the perfect location to watch the cruise liners come in and out and watch the sun go down. This was also topped off with the most incredible spa treatment

The Cliff Bay is a wonderful hotel. Every member of staff, reception, dining room, bars, spa, household are thoroughly professional. Our room ( no 724 ) with fantastic views overlooking the ocean and marina, was immaculately cleaned every day and well equipped with mini bar, baths robes, slippers, even a choice of pillows. The food in both the restaurants, we used, was delicious, well presented and varied. Restaurant staff were so well trained and welcoming. There was lovely background music played live as we ate, from singers, musicians and even a traditional Madeiran band. The spa was excellent, we used it 5 times for massages and treatments. We had a wonderful stay at the Cliff Bay. We spoken to other guests who echoed our opinion of the hotel. Some had returned there many times.

Solar da Bica is a cosy and tranquil retreat. This comfortable guest house faces the mountains and has green natural surroundings. The Solar features accommodation in rooms and an apartment.

Loved everything about solar da bica! The staff were kind, friendly and accommodating. The facilities in the apartment were perfect, the location stunning and the garden on site really was the cherry on top!

Everything was wonderful . Exceptional breakfast .We met there tourists staying in this hotel for many years on there trip to Madeira. Garage for the car with the place always.

The staff work really hard to make clients feel comfortable and go out of their way to be helpful with suggestions on hiking and parking and other things. The rooftop bar is amazing, even in winter. The lounge is inviting and I met some really nice people there which as a solo traveler, I appreciated! I had an excellent experience staying here; I even came back and stayed a second time on this trip!
