The place was spotless and my room on the 3rd floor was perfect. The breakfast downstairs in the Pastelaria was delicious and sufficient~ a freshly squeezed o.j, coffee and pastry of your choice and a sandwich of cheese, ham or mixed. It’s located in a safe neighborhood close to a sweet community park, walking distance to the ferry, and a 10-15 min walk to the harbor. It was quiet and other guests were quiet and respectful. I recommend Horta Garden to other travelers.

Horta’s rooms are decorated in neutral colours, and have wooden furniture. Each of the air-conditioned rooms has a cable TV and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Very friendly staff, nice pool, big room with balcony and beautiful view of Pico, lovely breakfast, not far from the centre with bars and restaurants.

The boutique 4-star Hotel do Canal is situated in Horta on Faial Island. It is just 100 metres from the beach and offers panoramic views of Pico Mountain and the bay. Free WiFi is provided throughout the hotel. it was clean, the hotel staff is incredible, free parking was included underground below the hotel, which was great, the views were awesome. Wish we could've stayed longer.

The outdoor space was absolutely wonderful - EVERY meal outside! The architecture is just beautiful. Very quiet area! Our flight was cancelled/re-scheduled and the host was very understanding and arranged for the house to be available at the new arranged time.
