Offering a spa and wellness centre and sun terrace, Taleju Boutique Hotel is situated in the Thamel district in Kathmandu, 900 metres from Hanuman Dhoka. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. We stayed here several nights before & after our trek, and it was just amazing. The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are clean, spacious, and the facilities great (water boiler, thee, coffee, water). Bathroom as per western standards: clean, toilet paper, hair dryer, hot water,... . The breakfast buffet was just amazing with plenty of choice for vegetarians (and some meat choices as well), good quality products. Location in Thamel, in a calm side street, which led to silent nights as well. We had a blast and would come back here without hesitation.

Rooms have a flat-screen TV. Some rooms include a seating area to relax in after a busy day. A terrace or balcony are featured in certain rooms. The rooms have a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find bath robes, slippers and free toiletries. We are a couple from Turkey and stayed at Apsara Boutique Hotel during our trip to Nepal, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly kind, smiling and willing to help with anything we needed, from airport pickup to recommending nice restaurants. Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. We stayed in a higher floor room, and the view over the city and the mountains in the distance was beautiful. The location is ideal, right in Thamel but slightly off the main road, so it is peaceful and quiet at night. We could easily walk to restaurants and shops. Kathmandu was a perfect destination, and Apsara Boutique Hotel made us feel right at home. We would definitely recommend it to our friends visiting Nepal.

Offering a restaurant, Mayur Restaurant that serves Indian and regional cuisines, Peacock Guest House is located 100 metres from the City Centre. Free WiFi access is available in the public areas of the property. We stayed in the heritage room overlooking the Square - and as described you need to climb the stairs to get to this room and the private rooftop area. There are not many places you can get to stay in a hotel with such history and heritage. Very happy with this hotel, and room selection. if you have mobility issues - this may not be the room for you - select an alternate room on a lower floor. Meals at this hotel were fabulous, loved the soda drink menu! i tried nearly all of them ! Meals are served in a very beautiful internal courtyard decorated with wood carvings and plants. Owners and staff were very very helpful with any of the questions we asked, and assisted us with our bags on arrival and departure; organised taxi to the airport (excellent rate). Located on a nice quiet square, and it was magical to sit by the window and watch the scene change during the day. Easy walk from this hotel to the other squares in Bhaktapur. Thoroughly recommend at least 1-2 nights in this city to explore and unwind. Excellent wifi at all time, in our room and in courtyard. We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel and will defintely be staying here again.

At The Dwarika’s Group of Hotels and Resorts, our ethos is about giving back to our guests, to Nepal, and to the planet – a philosophy that informs all that we do. We hold at our core a deep respect for the cultural and natural heritage of Nepal. The commitment to heritage conservation dates back to 1952. Our actions are always directed toward the restoration, conservation, preservation, and revival of the architectural, cultural, social, and natural heritage of Nepal. In line with these central principles, we constantly endeavor to nurture both people and the planet and to maximize the positive impact that we have on our surroundings and community. As such, with the aim to fulfill our responsibility towards Mother Nature and promote sustainability, the Dwarika’s Group is moving firmly towards an organic lifestyle of zero-waste. Further, by using Nepali design, artifacts, linen, and upholsteries we promote local skills that are inherently Nepali, we seek to revive crafts and cultural knowledge that are indigenous to Nepal. Spa and Bathroom amenities are made in-house in the Pancha Kosha Himalayan Spa drawing inspiration from ancient Ayurveda, Buddhist medicine, and traditional Himalayan Knowledge using Himalayan herbs. We implement and encourage natural, indigenous, and organic agricultural methods in our six eco-organic farms spread across the country hence preserving the environment. Celebrating the abundance that nature has bestowed we make a conscious effort to serve unadulterated, natural, and authentic culinary delights that are pure and natural following the Food Principles of serving organic, seasonal, and less travel food where possible in an effort to make a difference where we can. We celebrated our 15-year anniversary at The Dwarika's Hotel in Nepal, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The hospitality and service exceeded our expectations in every way. A special thank you to Adyut Neupane in the restaurant, whose service was above and beyond—attentive, thoughtful, and always had a touch of welcome and warm. We also want to recognize Ram Gajurel, one of the managers, who personally ensured we were well looked after. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was the daily yoga sessions offered at the hotel. Practicing yoga in such a serene and sacred setting felt like reconnecting to our roots—truly grounding and revitalizing. We are deeply grateful for the experience and would definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a luxurious, soulful, and culturally rich stay in Kathmandu. The hotel made our 15-year anniversary truly unforgettable with exceptional service, attention to detail, and a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere.
