Celebrating my birthday during this luxurious retreat was made even more special by the unique touch of personalised attention. Upon returning to my room after a day of exploring the grounds, I was met with a delightful surprise—a beautifully adorned table featuring a small, delicious birthday cake. The attention to detail was impeccable, and it was evident that the manager had gone above and beyond to make this moment memorable. It was a delightful treat, and the accompanying birthday card added a warm, personal touch that left a lasting impression. What made this experience truly exceptional was the manager's genuine effort to ensure that my birthday was celebrated in a way that surpassed my expectations. This small but meaningful act not only showcased the manager's attention to detail but also reflected the overall ethos of Powerscourt Hotel—a dedication to making each guest feel special and valued. The cosy sitting room features an open log fire and free tea and coffee, and guests can relax in the pretty rear garden. This was our favorite place to stay in Ireland. Daphne is so kind and full of positive energy, very welcoming. The room was so cosy and cute and the bathroom was so fancy. We loved the tea set in our room, the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, many options to choose from. The whole place looks and feels so much better in real life than in the photos. We were sad we were only staying for that one night.

Boasting picturesque views of the Wicklow Mountains, Birchdale House is nestled in the rural setting of Greenan, 5 minutes’ drive from Rathdrum. It offers free parking, free Wi-Fi, a guest lounge with board games and a 42-inch flat-screen TV with Sky channels. Great people, lovely and with a lot of interesting stories. Great breakfast and the premises are lovely. Would definitely recommend!

Arklow is a charming and historic town surrounded by hills and beautifully located by the sea. The very heart of the town is just a quick stroll from the hotel. Good location, lovely staff, good value and a late check out so could go to the spa

Most rooms also offer scenic views of Bray Head. Lovely clean and updated hotel, quiet with friendly staff. Food was excellent.

The check in and out were easy. The staff kind helpful and ready to go out of their way to help. The property has such a beautiful history she sits on the hill with a majestic presence. The location is beautiful and I would recommend her if you want somewhere to relax and be comfortable.
