Situated in Grasmere, 12 km from Windermere, Victorian House features parking is limited and offered on a first come and first served basis. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. We loved everything. Perfect. We had a family room, very neatly decorated, like the rest of the property. Comfortable, calming and pretty. There was tea and coffee in the room as well as all other hotel amenities. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was absolute best and breakfast was excellent. We will come back for sure.

The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Beautifully decorated. The hotel had recently been updated and it was very nicely done. Extremely helpful staff members;

Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. Excellent B&B. Nicely furnished. Very nice owners. Upstairs lounge provided small refrigerator and microwave with utensils and wine glasses for our use. Very nice breakfast. Great shower.

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Great location, stunning views. Beautiful building and gorgeous, friendly staff

Was able to purchase early parking and check in. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola and cereals and a great selection of cooked breakfast choices.

Absolutely everything, the professionalism of the staff, the amazing scenic view from the room (number 1 and number 3 as we decided to stay an extra night), the amazing bed. They were also very accommodating with our dog, and the dog walk around the hotel is marvellous! The restaurant food was also really great! And so was the breakfast! Thank you

The room is comfortable and clean. Friendly and attentive staff. Lots of choices for breakfast and the food is great. Tasty dinner with a reasonable price. A short walk from the B&B, through the fields can easily reach the Bassenthwaite Lake. Sitting at the patio at dusk, a glass of beer accompanies us to drive away the fatigue of the whole day. Staying here for three nights completed our visit to the Lake District.
