The staff went out of their way to help us & make us feel comfortable.

The servers Nacho and Alexis?/from Madrid also quite personable and provide exceptional service.

Firstly, we arrived late and could not have dinner but the hotel staff kindly left four trays of cold food, salads and fruit and we started our holiday with a midnight snack. This was a family holiday (aunty and 3 teenage nieces) and we paid for half board and were very impressed with literally everything: The hotel - Tastefully decorated and clean. We discovered something new every day during our week long stay. Location was perfect as there was access to two beaches and promenades with many restaurants, shops and entertainment and a shopping mall should one wish to leave the hotel. We loved that the hotel was very private, quiet, and secure. Perhaps it was just because it was the beginning of the holidays. The hotel provided the best environment for relaxation. Free water and cookies were also available at reception and a really fantastic idea after a walk. The teenagers loved the cookies! The food - Breakfast and dinner was exceptional. A variety of different cuisine made it easy to appeal to everyone's particular taste. For dinner, there were over 4 restaurants to choose from and the food definitely was Michelin star standard. The choices were endless and they catered for everyone. Entertainment was good, with live performances every night. Apart from the restaurants, there is a snack bar and several lounges. The pool - There was sufficient sun beds all day long with excellent service provided by staff. We particularly liked the free fruits provided by the poolside staff which was a brilliant touch and a great way to cool down. Games, gym and the spa - We spent an afternoon in the spa and sauna. The staff were simply amazing and the experience was fantastic. We played pool and table tennis and it was popular with the young crowd and a great way to mix with other guests in the evenings. The gym offered all round equipment which we used once :). We loved the view of the beach.

Additionally, the hotel organized live entertainment every evening, from rock and jazz musicians to captivating flamenco dance performances, which added an extra touch of enjoyment to our stay. A special shout-out to Christofer, Javi, and Gabbriel, the bar staff, for their exceptional hospitality. Their kind and professional service, along with their warm attitude, made our time at the hotel even more memorable. Overall, this hotel delivered an exceptional experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

To enter the Pension Silene is to step back to a time before the internet, before television (there aren’t any), before plastic even. This starts as a delightfully flowered bone china tea set formally presented, cup upended along with miniature cutlery; delicate knife, teaspoon and cake fork. The casa hombre soon arrives with an enormous tray bearing a selection of three delicious sec hams, three local Manchego cheeses, three sorts of handmade breads, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, enough freshly brewed coffee for at least three refills, hot milk, a plate of freshly made scrambled egg, a slab of butter and a measure of jam each on a dish (no finicky motorway services catering miniature packs here) and finally a lightweight pastry to finish the feast.
