Built under commission from Empress Victoria Friedrich and completed in 1893, it is today one of the most impressive German castles and offers its guests living history to touch and feel. Exclusive furnishings and an impressive collection of antiques and paintings from the private estate of the Empress Viktoria. Fantastic trip. I would highly recommend too anyone who is looking to stay a bit off the beat and track. Fabulous location. The staff were very friendly and highly professional. The room was gorgeous. Wunderbar!

The room was woonderfully clean, providing all the necessities for our stay, with a wonderful bed, comfortable mattress, seating options, fridge and tea and coffee-making. The bathroom was small, but provided enough space and all the amenities expected of more expensive accommodation. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast that was provided, which was fantastic. The spread was wide and varied, with all tastes and dietary requirements catered for. We were provided with a personal service, being the only remaining guests for the day, and were able to converse with the wonderful hosts.
