A young man at the front desk was very helpful in directing us toward art in the city. The room also came with a flotation device for swimming in the river and tickets for discounted public transport.

Just 150 metres from Basel Main Train Station and the airport shuttle bus and only 10 minutes' ride by public transport to Basel Messe convention centre, Metropol Hotel is a modern non-smoking hotel in the centre of Basel . I arrived at the hotel and got an upgrade service. It was wonderful to stay here. Friendly staff. Cozy and elegant room.

The Basel Exhibition Centre can be reached by tram within 10 minutes. This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! We appreciate all the advice from the receptionist and his generous and kind gesture of allowing us to check in 1 hour earlier. It is very much appreciated! We are very grateful! Such a customer-oriented approach, highlighted by the comfortable beds, soft bathrobes with slippers in the room, the wonderful view from the window, festive lanterns on the balcony railings, a view of the spectacular fireworks on New Year's Eve, an extremely delicious breakfast and friendly polite ladies in the restaurant every early morning- all of them made our stay in Hotel truly unforgettable. Laptops with wireless internet access and printers are available for free. It’s an old fashioned hotel with young people. Very friendly from a to z. Breakfast is excellent with coffee like it should be.
