The cabin has everything that we needed. The complimentary port was very much appreciated by us. We had a lovely time relaxing in front of the fireplace, which was well stocked with firewood. We wished we were not on a tight schedule and could extend our stay there for a few more nights.

At Swansea Beach Chalets we offer a range of comfortable, contemporary one and two bedroom chalets.

Our premium chalets offer uninterrupted water views, while our standard chalets are set back from the beach among native gardens, all with direct access to our beautiful Jubilee Beach. Good location to drive around the sights in this area of Tasmania. Also a great view to the bay from these waterfront chalets. This place had everything we needed.

It is just a 5-minute walk to the Visitor Centre and 10 minutes’ drive to the start of the Overland Track. An incredible place, with lovely, secluded views into the bush from our room. The furnishings were very nice. Staff was quite helpful. It was nice to be able to walk to the visitor centre.

Waratah on York is located in a restored Victorian mansion, just 5 minutes’ walk from Launceston city centre. It features free off-street parking and Wi-Fi internet access.

Waratah On York overlooks Launceston City Park and is a 5-minute walk from the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. Cataract Gorge is only 3 km away, and Launceston Airport is a 20-minute drive. The stay felt like living in a castle — the decor was quite luxurious, the room was very spacious, and it offered great value for money.

Cradle Mountain Highlanders offers secluded cabins on the edge of Cradle Mountain National Park. It provides convenient, self-catering facilities and is a 5-minute drive from the park’s entrance.

Each of the unique cabins at Cradle Mountain Highlanders has cosy interiors, including a fireplace. All cabins are lined with beautiful Tasmanian timber and most cabins have full kitchen facilities. Some units have a luxurious spa bath and mountain views. It was a special and peaceful retreat in a cabin surrounded by the forest. Both the reception area and the cabins were beautifully designed. The fireplace inside the cabin kept us very warm—so much so that at night, we even left the window slightly open while the fire was still going. It was conveniently close to the Visitor Centre and Devils @ Cradle. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed, but I’d recommend bringing enough ingredients if you plan to cook your own meals.
