Everything is perfect. The property is beautiful, full of green, birds and amazing architecture heritage. The breakfast is very good and most of the products are locally produced. The photos on booking cannot make justice to this place.

Ines and Paulo were the pefect hosts. Ines couldn't have been more helpful with answering my plentiful questions. Such a congenial couple in a scenic setting, walking distance to the Mateus Palace and major highways. This 17th century property retains all the rustic charm of that era while providing the modern amenities that make the stay comfortable! The other two guest houses on the property with 1-2 bedrooms and baths are simply charming and a good value for families traveling together. The pool looked clean and inviting although we did not take a dip. We loved sitting in the patio!

We loved everything about this hotel. Dont judge a book by its cover...the outside and area do not do it justice. Inside, the hotel has paid attention to detail, everything you need in the rooms for a comfortable stay. Immaculately clean The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was exceptionally good with, local.produce and seasonal fresh fruits. It is within walking distance of Vila Real.

Check in was smooth and welcoming. Our room was large, clean and elegant. Our room had an enclosed balcony, wow. Breakfast was generous in variety. All was elegant and delicious. We wish we lived closer to Vila Real so we could have all our family and friends from USA could stay at this hotel.

We spent a wonderful week in August in the beautiful village of Cumieira and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Quinta da Cumieira. The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere immediately made us feel at home. We often think back with warmth to the stunning garden, with its many cozy seating areas, and the pool with its spectacular views over the valley. We also loved the authenticity that has been so well preserved in the Quinta. Communication with the hosts was smooth and easy; they were always available for any questions and happy to share local tips.
