部屋がとても綺麗で、大きなバスタブがあった。 朝早く出たので朝食開始時間が間に合わなかったが、コーヒーを飲むか提案してくれてバスの時間までゆっくりコーヒーとバナナを食べることができた。 サグレスのモニュメントやバス停の近くにあり、とても便利な場所。

沢木耕太郎著「深夜特急」のサグレスで出てきましたゲストハウス"CASA DE CHA”だった建物です。"CASA DE CHA”から"CASA DE SAGRES”と経て"Mareta Beach House Boutique Residence”になり、オーナーも変わりました。実は"CASA DE SAGRES”だった2014年に一度泊まりましたが、建物内部もその時とは違って全面改装されています。例えば、「深夜特急」では、１階の食堂についての描写があり"CASA DE SAGRES”の時も食堂兼バーとして使われていましたが、現在１階は数部屋の客室に改装されており食堂の面影は全く無いです。今回は２階に宿泊しました。廊下や部屋の間取りは恐らく"CASA DE SAGRES”当時のままですが、部屋のデザインや家具、水回り等は交換と改修がなされています。また、"Mareta Beach House Boutique Residence”としての再オープンを機に１階の庭だった所にインフィニティプールが出来ました。宿泊設備やサービス面からゲストハウスではなくなりましたが、著者が部屋から望んだ大西洋の景色はそのままなので、宿泊してみる事をお勧めします。
