arrived very tired from my hike of the fisherman's trail and was glad to be welcomed by a friendly young man from Brazil at the reception. the apartment was big and had a garden terrace with pool. I was also glad I could get something to eat at the bar upstairs.

Três Marias is located in the serene countryside of the Northern Alentejo, just 4 km from Aivados Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Mules , 3 ostriches and 3 donkeys are permanent residents at the hotel.

Exceptionally comfortable and well designed Quinta in tranquil surroundings. Large room with lounge are and sleeping mezzanine. Warm and helpful staff who went the extra distance to make guests feel welcome. Generous hospitality with afternoon cakes and teas. Breakfast was perfect! made to order eggs combined with various cereals, yogurt, breads and pastries. Dinner was exceptional as well! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Beds are very big and comfortable.

Had a nice time at the Hotel, the owner really cares about his guests. Since I was hiking and got a little of the track to get to the hotel he even drove me to the next crossing were I could continue to walk the Rota Vincentina. The hotel has a separated building block with guest apartments on the ground floor. Absolutely recommend the place. If I will get back into the region I will for sure spend a few nights there again.
