The hotel escapes from hustle snd bustle city. We enjoy the peaceful atmosphere from the crowded people and messy traffic a minute walk away. The hotel is located nearby the consulates. A mini supermarket is just on the same street as well as a money exchange shop. Opposite is Chhaya Centre where Marcopolo Restaurant serves wonderful Italian cuisine. Pizza is great! Himalaya Java Coffee is in same centre as well. A street away, you will find numerous brands of trekking things such as North Face, Rab, Kaemp 8848, Mountain Hardwear, Black Diamond, Buff, Scarpa, Marmot, Timberland, Blackyak......They are genuine. The room is perfect clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay here, we felt super welcomed, specially by Thapa, who was very attentive and nice. All the staff were super welcoming and helpful. The rooms are exactly as they appear in the pictures, clean, nice and comfortable. The breakfast was great and varied, and the internet worked very well for meetings and remote working. Our stay at Shambling Boutique Hotel was both an amazing start for our visit to Nepal as well as a beautiful gift for Christmas. Every little detail was so charming and full of heartwarming hospitality. It started with the smooth and welcoming pick-up from the airport, the warm reception, and continued with the tastefully decorated room, the perfect cleanliness, hot water (in Nepali winter) and the incredibly cosy bed. he food was just another highlight: breakfast set in the serene garden and dinner in the restaurant under the Christmas tree, we enjoyed every delicious bite and sip. But what stood out the most was the skilful and truly caring staff. Whenever even a hint of a wish arose, someone was already there to make it come true. Always gentle, always with a solution right on the spot and always with a bright smile. This is hospitality at it's best.
