We have stayed in this hotel before and loved it. It is on the edge of the Old Town so ideal for wandering the beautiful streets with all the bars and restaurants you could wish for. It is also very near mainstream shops, a supermarket (Mercadona) and it is just a short walk down the hill to the beach. The only downside is that it is quite a steep climb back up the hill after a day at the beach but we got to grips with the bus system on day 2 so it was plain sailing after that. The hotel has a beautiful roof terrace open 24 hours where you can sit and relax with a nice glass of wine (or tea/coffee if you prefer). Our room was a twin with a nice balcony overlooking the street and came with tea and coffee making facilities which is rare for Spanish hotels.

very clean and staff very friendly, facilities were very good. comfortable beds and lovely rooms. We booked full board option and food was very nice, great variety at each meal. upgraded during stay so had access to the 18+ roof terrace. which made the stay extra special. fantastic location, plus stop for road train just up the road so could visit other side of Calpe easily

We loved our time at SH Villa Gadea! The location is stunning with beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. The hotel itself is elegant and spacious, and the room was incredibly comfortable. The staff was absolutely amazing. The owner took great care of us from the time we walked in the door, making sure we were comfortable, we had a safe place to park our vehicle, making sure we enjoyed a glass of champagne in their beautiful courtyard before even going to our room. We paid for laundry service and they ironed and folded everything and brought it to our room. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Abaca. When the owner found out we got engaged the previous day, she upgraded our room, gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne, and even left a handwritten note on the pillow congratulating us. Love, love, love!!!

Very friendly and supportive stuff, easy check-in via phone as we arrived at a time when they couldn’t be at the place. Lovely decoration and preparation for our arrival. The terrace is inviting to relax after a hike. Definitely the place to stay when coming back to Calpe.
