This was a splendid location right near the centre of Cairns and the promenade area. The room was light and airy and comfortable with a nice balcony.

Excellent location of the hotel. Great water front view from room. Being corner room, we had additional view from other window in addition to main balcony. Staff was able to adjust the request for early check in as we reached hotel by 12 noon.

It is a large, modern complex with great rooms. There are various pools around the complex, washing facilities, and a large shopping center next door. Restaurants aren't far away, either, and the train station and Greyhound bus stop are just a few minutes away. It's a 20-minute walk to the esplanade, but we didn't mind this at all. There was good WiFi, and the apartments were large enough to really relax and feel at home.

The Novotel Oasis is a 4.5 star resort featuring a gorgeous lagoon pool, complete with a sandy beach, children's pool and a swim-up bar.
