decided to go with this hotel cause there’s high & good ratings. the hotel was a little old. you could see stains on the wall/floor. while i got the room with 2 basins, however we did not use 1 of the basins as the water was gushing out & splattering all over the counter top. check in process could be improved. this was a trip to celebrate my husband’s bday so i wanted to surprise him with decor etc. we came at 3pm to check in. the staff whispered to me that they need time to decor and asked if we could come back in an hour time. he was considerate knowing that i put a note in my booking to celebrate my husband’s bday! we agreed & came back in an hour’s time. for the 2nd time when we are there to collect our keys, the staff was so blur and just said to me “the decor is not done & the toilet is faulty. we can’t release the room yet.” at that moment, i felt that he just ruined the surprise. now - I’m not sure if we can’t check in on time because (1) need time to decor / (2) toilet is faulty. p.s. happy birthday decor was spelled wrongly too 😂😩🥲 Room service was a little slow too - we requested for a cup of ice & 2 forks, it took more than 10 mins that we had to call a 2nd time to request. it came after 15-20mins :’)

Older style hotel, looks like from the 70s. The entire hotel smelled like mold, especially the bathrooms. It's understandable with a hotel that has been active for decades but some remediation works might do wonders. Carpet stains throughout the room. No chromecast option on the TV - limited to hotel internal tv or local tv channels. Hotel is a bit of a distance from the CBD - 20-30 minutes walking or 10 minutes by car.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially the security guards at the entrance of the hotel were always courteous and helpful. Large rooms that newer hotels do not have anymore. Good breakfast selection. Good gym space (more than the basic hotel gym with 2 machines and 3 dumbbells') and great pool space although I didn't used it. Private balcony in the room - a rare option on today's hotels. Nice skyline view of the city. Hotel has a direct access to the shopping mall underneath it which can be useful at times, although it's a local shopping mall, not a prestigious or architectonic shopping mall.

Parking for hotel is all the way up on the 5th floor, can be a bit of a hassle for those short of time. The bathroom toilet had a bit of a smell.

I requested for high floor. They given the nice n clean room at level 32. My very first night my experience not so great coz exactly at midnight strange noises coming from room upstairs. Loud thud that kept going for an hour until it shook the glass window. At first i just ignored it but it got worse n i decided to change to lower level. I felt terrified i couldn't sleep even they given me new room. The new room at level 24 looks kinda creepy, outdated n moldy. Not sure if they cleaned the room coz i found 2 pieces of toothpick on the carpet. I got bug bite summore. One more thing is these rooms have got this weird musty smell like old damp carpet. Really uncomfortable. For 5 stars hotel this is unacceptable. Wont stay here again.

First room i got before i changed my room is exceptionally clean n luxurious. All the staff here very friendly, responsive n helpful. Room was clean everyday n parking is free.

Strategic location since the main reason is because we have a big event over 4 days opposite at WTC. Walking distance to WTC, connecting to the mall thus very convenient for food etc. Hotel escalator goes directly to the car park floors and free parking for staying guests are good for us who needed to carry boxes of things etc. Room is comfortable and spacious. WiFi connection is good.
