Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The hosts David and Allison were so welcoming right from the very first Hello! The rooms were spotless and the attention to detail in the whole farm is amazing. We felt at home and at ease during our stay. Breakfast was delicious and both David and Allison couldn’t do enough for us. David’s knowledge on Normandy and WW2 was so interesting and Allison’s creative skills were very impressive. So glad to have met them both.

BelgiumThere are, however, a few things that could be improved: the mattresses were a bit too soft for our taste, and the rooms felt quite cold for the time of year. We had to ask several times for the heating to be turned on, which should ideally be addressed proactively. The soundproofing is limited—creaking beds and noise from neighboring rooms (such as snoring) can make it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Lastly, communication is in English, but with a strong accent, which might be difficult to follow for non-English speakers.
This beautifully renovated old farmhouse is ideally located for visiting the D-Day beaches and historical sites in Normandy, while still offering a peaceful and quiet setting. The rooms are spacious, and breakfast is a real treat every morning—generous and varied, with cheeses, cold cuts, fresh French bread, yoghurt, granola, and lots of other tiny delicious things, and a daily surprise. Breakfast is served at a large communal table, which creates a warm and friendly atmosphere and makes it easy to connect with other guests. Parking is convenient next to the farmhouse, and the WiFi connection is good. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

The Owners of the "Old Farm" were absolutely lovely, the location was great, you will be waking up in the middle of the countryside with the sound of birds and cows passing in the distance. There were no noises that impacted our sleep and the bed was comfortable, being able to take a warm bath in a very cute bathroom after a long day walk was blissful. The owners went even beyond by providing us scones in the morning as a special request and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! I can only thanks them again for having us. We would stay again with great pleasure!

David and Allison were excellent hosts and created a warm and friendly environment. - - Morning meals around the table were especially fun and something we looked foreword to before we started our daily excursions. - breakfast was a delicious buffet of fresh breads, homemade yogurt and jams, local artisan cheeses, and cook to order eggs and waffles. - We had one of David's delicious dinners one night which was one of the best meals experienced while visiting Normandy. - David and Allison did a beautiful job restoring the Farm with lots of attention to detail. Lots of added bonuses and details appreciated over the course of our 6 day night such as the complimentary bottle of cider in our room upon arrival, loads of resource material on the local history and points of interest. - We loved how the Farm was surrounded by so much DDay history

In addition to enjoying the area and D-Day exploration, we also signed up for one of David’s all-day cooking classes, including a trip to a local market to buy fresh produce and cheese. IrelandVery comfortable room. Excellent hosts, with lots of suggestions for visits to the local sites of interest, particularly the D-Day sites, museums and cemeteries. The property is well-situated for visiting these sites. Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choice. We also had dinner on two nights which included wine, and the food was very good, cooked fresh using local ingredients. Nice to eat at the property rather than find a restaurant.

United StatesThis place is absolutely perfect and fantastic. It is located very close to Sainte-mère-eglise and other attractions. Our room was so pretty and comfortable. The decorations were stunning. We really loved it and enjoyed our stay here. We felt like we were living in a castle or a Victorian house. So many memories as well related to the WW II. It is definitely a place full of history. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices and everything was delicious. Allison and John are amazing, so nice, welcoming and friendly. They made us feel very comfortable. We definitely recommend this place.
