Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThe location of this property is brilliant 20 minutes walk to Notre Dame and Louvre 15 minutes walk to Chatelet des Halles train station and metro station just opposite the hotel. Our one bedroom apartment was great for us a family of 2 adults and a 2 yo clean and it had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully equipped with new appliances kettle toaster coffee machine even a dishwasher and a fridge. The bathroom has a walk in shower hair dryer and plenty fresh towels. In my opinion this place can be perfect for young families with babies/ toddlers. It’s like home away from home. Staff all friendly and helpful

BulgariaBreakfast is poor, wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Noisy from the boulevard.
Very clean, comfortable apartment, location very good, close to metro and restaurants. We were in two bedroom apartment with everything you need. For my family of 3 it was of perfect size, Nespresso machine and equipped kitchen although we didn’t use it. L’occitane cosmetics.

United StatesIt’s wonderful that everything was new but we did have a problem with the shower leaking onto the floor the seam at the bottom that keep the water in the shower didn’t go all the way to the wall. Also, it was kind of a hassle to keep asking for toilet paper and paper towels throughout the four or five day day we had.
The staff was wonderful very helpful. Everything was clean dishes were new bathroom was clean.

IrelandThe downsides: it’s a bit small for two people, but we knew that in advance. It can get quite noisy, not only from the street but also because the soundproofing between the rooms and the corridor is very poor. Also, if the ventilation is off, there’s a sewage smell coming from the bathroom.
The apartment has a cozy interior, the furniture is in good condition, and everything is clean.

AustraliaThe only issue was the exhaust fan didn’t work in the bathroom so it was very damp in there. The staff were super responsive though.
Location is great, easy walk down to Notre Dame and plenty of restaurants nearby. It’s also an easy walk to the louvre. The restaurant downstairs is delicious! Our kids slept on the sofa bed and it was a decent size and comfortable mattress.

CroatiaThe noise!!! It’s such a pity because the property is very nice. We had one room facing the street and the noise from the traffic was normal and expected but the room facing the other side was so noisy! There was some sort of ventilation on all day and all night. Even when you closed the windows it was loud. Also one night it was very late and they were moving big glass bottles from one place to another.
The property was located in a good location not far from nice shopping areas. The apartment was very well equipped and very clean.

LuxembourgBecause they have their weird little check-in site it dodn't transfer our request for a baby cod over from Booking.com and we spend a night without one. Also no parking and no discount for any nearby public parking garages, so we paid 97€ in parking for 2 days!!!
Clean and well equiped appartment in a modern style. Great water pressure on the shower. Lpvely balcony with 2 chairs and a table

We wanted to stay in the Le Marais area of Paris and this hotel was well located. To places like Musee d'Orsay and Notre Dame we took an Uber -- but the more adventurous could walk or figure out the Metro. We stayed 2 nights, walked the Marais area with its delightful nooks and crannies, enjoyed dinners in bistros. Breakfasts were fine and to our taste; there is an elevator; A/C works, bed studio concept was excellent for making coffee in the morning and refrigerating water and wine. We liked the concept of having a code to access the building and our room -- there is also a concierge on duty but we liked not having to check in/out with a front desk.

Sri LankaEuropean Hotels have very poor front office presence, if they can sort out a bell boy to help with the luggage, would be brilliant.

Saudi ArabiaIt’s a a small hotel so the reception area is just a desk and two chairs which felt a little bit limited but they have a luggage room.
Friendly and helpful staff, cozy atmosphere, and the room size was good for Paris. The room was clean and beds super comfortable even the sofa bed. The location was ideal—just a short walk to restaurants and tourist attractions.

United KingdomThe overly long list of how much each item would cost if it was damaged. There were a lot of add ons and disclaimers and whole raft of things that frankly was hard to keep up. In that respect I’d probably would opt for a hotel where it’s a bit more straightforward.
The property was well positioned with easy access to shops & public transport. The apt was lovely and very comfortable. All the furnishing was to high standard. Great communication.

United KingdomOnly have one complaint and that relates to breakfast on our first morning. We were told that breakfast would be from 7.30 and scheduled the day around that. We arrived at 7.40 and were told it wouldn’t be until 8, which meant we couldn’t stay as we’d miss our train. It caused us a bit of a problem as we couldn’t get any food before a long journey. Everything else was great so this is just a small comment. Don’t like to complain.
Property was in a great location. Very nice and easy to get checked in. Staff were very helpful.
