The room was always perfectly cleaned – the housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping everything spotless. Also, for New York, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, which I really appreciated since noise from the hallway or the street is often a problem in many places.

We were disappointed with some hidden costs and unclear communication. We were told that the daily $15 credit could be used throughout the day, but in practice it only applied during breakfast hours. For example, when we ordered coffee in the afternoon or a drink in the evening, these were charged separately instead of being deducted from the credit. Another issue was the additional charges (destination fees of $30 per night, plus related state and city taxes, and some small restaurant charges). On Booking.com, there was no clear information that these costs would be added on top of the prepaid amount. We assumed the amount shown at the time of booking was the full price of the stay, but at check-out we were surprised to see extra fees included. When making a reservation on a platform like Booking, one naturally expects to see the actual final price. In other hotels in New York, I never encountered this practice, so this was a first – and it left a negative impression.

Location wise I think this is a great one - close to all subways, and specifically just adjacent to Ground Zero - I felt like most of Manhattan was in my reach. The hotel is on-point, rooms are regular sized and offer what you need for a business trip

The door on 309 doesn’t open and close easily so I found it open / unlocked all morning the one day I had asked for fresh towels Not very soundproof - the partying neighbours kept me up a lot but reception dealt with it instantly when I phoned down The house keeping also hang outside the end of the corridors talking away on their phones and to each other so day naps after a long flight didn’t work either

The two balconies or porch’s , the three bathrooms and the space outside the house. The Makuu point it’s near and the Paradise Cliffs, also (Andy’s tips). It was three great days.

Fantastic location. Next to a Safeway, CVS, and a gas station. Plenty of parking spaces.

Very dirty room. Many hairs of previous guests were found under sheet, comforter, and in the bath tub. This made me wonder whether they really replaced the sheets after the previous guest checkout. There was trash at the corner of the room. In addition, there was mold on the shower curtain and the toilet was not cleaned properly either. Overall an awful experience.
