First time i've rated a 10 but i loved staying here, the best guest house i've stayed so far. To swim in the pool surrounded by mountains was quite magical. It was a little like a resort than a homestay with an open feel, table tennis table, pool table, sea view(some rooms). My room was great, well equipped and the wifi for me was super fast. The family were so generous and helpful, i felt part of the family while i was there. I met some lovely guests here too. The location is away from the main road etc making it peaceful. Town is about 2.5kms from The Homestay though they do rent scooters(Tong Thu Beach next to town is lovely). I was a little nervous to stay at first because i read some bad reviews on google maps just before check in but thankfully, the claims in those reviews were not true at all. Overall fantastic, especially considering the very affordable price.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent as was the food. It's a beautiful resort, extremely well kept and peaceful. We would go back in the future.

Sea Pearl Cat Ba Hotel is located in front of Lan Ha Bay, a 5-minute walk from Cat Co Beach. It features a swimming pool and bar on the rooftop, as well as 2 dining options. Coffee was too strong with breakfast.

Whisper Nature Bungalow is located in Viet Hai Village, at the foot of Cat Ba’s National Park Reserve. This peaceful retreat offers a 24-hour reception and a Vietnamese restaurant. Beautiful and quiet place with nice bungalows in the lovely village of Viet Hai, perfect place to take a rest if you do the trekking inbetween National Parc entrance and Viet Hai and don’t want to hurry for return. Bungalows are very comfortable , friendly staff , and excellent breakfast +++++

We stayed at Hotel Flamingo for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely amazing! As soon as we arrived, they surprised us with some special treats for our honeymoon, and we were greeted with drinks, which made us feel so welcomed right away. The breakfast here is incredible—so many options and everything was super tasty. The pool is gorgeous, and the whole hotel is spotless, which we really appreciated. We also booked a cruise and kayaking through the hotel, and it was so well-organized. Everything ran smoothly, and the experience was just beautiful. What really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Everyone was so nice, but CHIEN deserves a huge shoutout. He was so friendly, always ready to help (even without us asking), and made sure we had everything we needed. He really went above and beyond for us, and we’re so grateful for him! We’ll definitely stay here again if we come back and would recommend this place to anyone. It’s been such a special and memorable experience!
