Host; Nido was awesome and very friendly and helpful. Had motorcycles we rented (with a picture of your international drivers permit). Comfortable rooms and good views. More of a bed and breakfast type setup with nice private rooms in m the upper floors with a common living room kitchen area on the ground floor. It was great!

His recommendations lead us through our visit on the island. Just ever hint he gave us was pure gold. He also made the impossible things possible ordered all the good tours, the scooters and our connection to our next traveling Station in Ninh Binh. The room we had was quite comfortable, the bed was nice, everything was clean, especially the shower was the best I saw until now in Vietnam. (not these whole bathroom is a shower thing)

Oakwood Ha Long provides certain units with pool views, and all rooms come with a balcony. The units feature a wardrobe. This resort blew us away. The continental breakfast was incredible, the villa was absolutely massive and the service was unmatched. The spread at breakfast was huge, with everything ranging from fruit, western style breakfast (and DELICIOUS BACON), homemade french bread, pho, and an egg/omelette station. We also had dinner at the restaurant multiple times, and the salads and entrees were delicious. There was also a washing machine in the villa, which was so convenient to do laundry. There are two massive swimming pools, a beautiful spa with a sauna and steam room, and it's 200 meters from Bai Chay beach. The massages at the spa were amazing, and everyday, room service would come and replenish all of our soap, give us clean towels, and give us many bottles of water. The front desk was also super helpful in organising taxis to and from excursions, as well as back to Hanoi. The staff was so highly trained and really made our stay incredible. This is one of the best resorts I've ever stayed at, highly recommend.

Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, outside area is very cozy and chill. There's a restaurant in the property - the food is tasty and affordable.

To add to all the other very positive reviews about the facilities & staff service, let's just say that this is a beach-fronting RESORT (in the true sense) with the infinity pool, main restaurant, and rooms all having views of Ha Long bay. The outdoor pool areas AND the beach are dotted with scores of thick-cushioned deckchairs, coconut trees and lush greenery. Highly recommend going for the breakfast & dinner package. Breakfast is buffet and dinner set-menu. Our cruise got cancelled because of the threat from typhoon Ragasa. Yet we were able to spend 3 wonderful days just in the resort. Around the corner from the resort is a row of local restaurants/cafe/mini markets including a specialty wine store. Wines are expensive in Vietnam. Decent store-bought wine (Australia, France, SA, etc.) start from 600k VND (or AUD36). At the resort, we found that cocktails and beers are more affordable by Western standard.

Very well-equipped accommodation, great view, self check-in, very helpful owner. We were able to check in at 01:00 because the night bus was 2 hours late, the host helped us a lot and was committed.

Very nice apartment with amazing view. The room was clean, modern, nicely decorated. Few walks only to the building’s private beach. Me and my husband, we really enjoyed our time there. Perfect summer escape.
