Saikaew Resort is a 5-minute drive from Sunday Walking Street and a 15-minute ride from Chiang Rai Airport. Wat Chiang Yuan is located 1 km away. On-site parking is provided. The room was even better and bigger than expected from the photos. Really nice peaceful place to stay offering bike rental making it really easy to get around. Food was also really nice and really really affordable. Breakfast was basic but help yourself which was amazing for us when wanting to get off nice and early!

The hotel & amenities were lovely, the staff were polite & helpful, the food was delicious, the spa services (massages) were top shelf, our room overlooked the river & it was beautiful with a comfy bed & awesome pillows (yes pillows - 2 each with different firmness, made for wonderful sleeps), and the grounds were beautiful … it was truly all amazing.

With a private bathroom, rooms at the resort also boast a city view. At Baan Sakuna Hotel, rooms come with a seating area. We loved the view from our room. We booked the Grand Master Suite and chose the 2nd floor so we could have an amazing 360° view of Chiang Khong. Mai, the owner of Baan Sakuna is lovely. She is very accommodating to the needs of the guests. You will need a vehicle to get out and about as its located a fair distance from restaurants and shops if you were to go by foot. There is a fabulous restaurant on site. We ate there the first night, but wanted to explore what else was around on our second night. The rooms either have very thick walls or sound proofing as we were told that guests would be arriving quite late and apologies were given for the noise in advance, but there was no noise or disruption of our beautiful and peaceful 2 nights that we spent at Baan Sakuna.

At the resort, every room has a desk and a balcony with a lake view. Featuring a private bathroom with a bidet and free toiletries, rooms at Baan Suan Jantra Home Stay also provide guests with a mountain view. The units will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. The farm is very spectacular, with a pond made by the owner, and some animals hanging around. We spent a week there, and us and the kids were really happy with the surrounding. But regardless of the place itself, the reason to come is the lovely Nee and Oi who run the place. They are very generous, gentle and loving people. We are grateful for the opportunity to meet them, cook together and share traditions, discuss Budhism, feed the fish, laugh... Thank you!
