It is a bit outside the main town, which makes it a perfect place to stay if you want to be immersed in nature and more secluded from the crowds. We stayed in a chalet, and it was lovely, spacious and very clean. The views from the deck on the first floor and the huge A-frame window on the second floor are incredible. The pool is beautiful and the views from it are unbeatable, especially while sipping a fresh king coconut. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and all the food was excellent - some of the best food we had on our trip (and I’m Sri Lankan so I have a high standard). Everyone working at the hotel is very kind and wants to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The final drive to the hotel is a bit bumpy but not too long, and the hotel will pick you up from and drop you to the main road that goes into Ella town. It is a bit of a drive to Ella town and some of the main attractions in the area, but we felt this trade-off was completely worth it to stay in such a gorgeous, quiet, and comfortable setting. Highly recommend - we would definitely stay here again!

The Guesthouse is surrounded by beautiful nature and you get a really nice breakfast at your own terrace with a great view. You reach the town of Ella within 10 minutes walking through a tea field. Amali gave us good advice for our stay and her husband took us to some places by tuk tuk which was very convenient. She also arranged the transfer to Udawalawe with her brother who is a really nice guy as well and made this day also special with a lot of nice stops on the way. I don't think you get anything better in this area.

The accommodation features room service and a 24-hour front desk for guests. Visiting Ella and staying in this homestay just outside the city centre was the highlight of my recent trip to Sri Lanka. The accommodation represents excellent value for money and was more than adequate for the time I spent there. The room was large in size and the homestay in general was built to what I thought was a high level of quality with very high ceilings and lots of wood used throughout the building. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was designed to a high standard. This was easily one of the best examples of a homestay I say anywhere in Sri Lanka. What I found really excellent about this place was the staff, Over the several days I spent at this homestay I got to know Pasindu and Noman and given the excellent rapport I got with these guys I decided to do Wild Steps tour with Pasindu, which was basically a motorbike tour to all the major sites for one day, which I left all the travel planning and guiding to Pasindu. I also was easily convinced on my last night to take part in a Sri Lankan cooking class at the homestay with Noman and Pasindu which gave me a great deal of insight of how to make Sri Lankan food. This involved going to the local market and buying a bunch of ingredients and then coming back to the homestay and making a feast. Both activities were absolutely fantastic! What I can't express enough is what legends both of these guys were and how excellent this accommodation was. In hindsight if I planned my itinerary again I probably would have skipped the rest of my trip going down to the coast (Tangelle, Merissa and Galle) and would have spent the time in Ella, backtracking back to Colombo via Kandy and spending more time in the cultural triangle.

All rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. We stayed at Andriyala, for a day as part of our Sri Lankan trip, and it was truly one of the highlights of our journey! We booked the Presidential Suite, and it exceeded our expectations ,the private pool was spacious, clean, and perfect for relaxing. The suite itself was luxurious and comfortable, offering privacy and great amenities. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome as foreign guests. A special thank you to Mr. Shenon, who was especially kind and spoke with us so well ,and the staff hospitality really stood out. The food was delicious , The garden and surroundings were beautifully maintained, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. perfect for a relaxing and memorable stay!
