Complete with a private bathroom equipped with a bidet and free toiletries, the units at The Den at Yala have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and certain rooms will provide you with a balcony. The rooms at the accommodation come with a seating area. The whole property was perfect for our family of four. We have 2 young kids (2 and 5 years old), and they loved playing with the dogs, and running around in the large yard area. My son spent all his time catching frogs and lizards while my daughter chased him around. It was safe and fun for them to explore. We saw monkeys in the trees, and peacocks roaming around the property. The food was really delicious. Home cooked, healthy, and tasty. The owner was there during our stay and we enjoyed getting to know him. He has so much experience and knowledge about the area, and was very accommodating to us. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The property just screams privacy and luxury and so does the mentality of their staff. Reihan greeted us personally and also led the two safaris in his capacity as the head ranger. Could not recommend it more to anyone who hasn't experienced it. Block 5 in terms of the area for our safari felt kinda small in a good sense and we spotted a wide range of wildlife from crocodiles and elephants to leopards, mongooses, land monitors and birds. The food was delicious and rest assured there was plenty of it. Since we signed up for the all-inclusive package, we were pampered 24/7. The three-course meals were both absolutely yummy and generously sized. The cocktail were as delicious as potent. Unfortunately, we had only booked one night, but we'll sign up for 2 or 3 nights when we come back to appreciate the experience even more.

BEST stay on our entire trip through Sri Lanka. Truly such a unique experience. Bethiya was such a wonderful host. He was so enthusiastic during our safari tour, we had so much fun. The beds were comfortable and had bug nets. Sleeping in the woods was so relaxing, we could hear the leaves of the trees rustling in the night. The food was INCREDIBLE. Such a great price. I recommend this place to everyone.

I would highly recommend staying in for dinner one night as the food was exceptionally delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful too! They organized our safari ride as well as Tuk Tuks into town. The rooms are a bit on the rustic side, but it adds to the fun experience!

I recently stayed at the Sparkling Resort and had a wonderful experience. The Resort was spotlessly clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay!
Probably the oldest Holiday Resort. It seems that they have not upgraded the facilities The rooms are not cleaned few insects found in the room. Bathroos are pretty basic.
The vibe in the resort îs very cool and the staff is nice . And we liked the garhering off all guests ,we were able to meet New people. The resort looks cool and wild .
A fantastic set up not just encouraging but utilising sustainable procedure whenever possible. The local village are very much an active part of the project actively employed across all areas of the business from hospitality to farming to upkeep of the property. The lodges were great offering functional luxury. I loved the solar powered out door shower.
We had a very good stay at Michael’s resort. The yard is really nice and peaceful. You can hear and see all kind of birds, make a nice hike with Michael (the host), and see monkeys jumping from tree to tree. Also, Michael prepares very tasty traditional Sri Lankan meals for fair prices. I would really recommend this place if you like nature, animals, hiking. Facilities were good in relation to the (low) price.
Unique luxury lodge immersed in beautiful nature. A getaway to relax and enjoy the lake safari as well as other exclusive activities in the jungle. Very good food, excellent service.
What a beautiful place! Lovely hosts, great food, such a relaxing vibe. Music in the evening, if you want: playing percussion together. You can book your safari from here, the driver we had was awesome, not rushing through the park, providing us with lots of information about all animals. One of the nicest resorts i have ever been to, defenitely a must see!
Very nice atmosphere, animals were roaming free in the resort and we could go sit at the river. The tree house was an amazing experience, eapecially showering under the stars in the funny bathroom
A secluded space, away from the noise and hustle. This resort has a unique vibe and atmosphere created by its owner Nando. The houses are beautifully decorated, you feel like in the outerworld there! There are a lot of domestic animals running around even some pet monkeys. There is a good place for yoga and meditation on the bank of the river as well. Will deffently come back again!
