The facilities are excellent. The owner, Anura and his family have created a fabulous place to relax and to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The large pool is a delightful place to chillax after a day sight seeing. The rooms are large and well equipped. The bathroom is also a good size with toilet, shower, and hand basin. Breakfast is provided. I would recommend Green View to anyone visiting Kandy. It is a little difficult to get a tuk tuk from kandy to Green View, but the local bus runs every 10 - 15 minutes, and the fare is approximately LKR90. Green View gets a 10/10 from me.

The hotel may seem a bit austere at first, with a few small shortcomings (for example, a reading lamp by each bed would be nice), but nothing essential. The staff and service are excellent, and the manager is very involved — he asks for feedback every day and genuinely cares about guests’ comfort. Although the hotel is a little farther from the city, the distance is more than compensated by the stunning view, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend Madu’s cooking! He’s an excellent chef — the beef is delicious (even if it’s not Argentinian), and the soup, his specialty, is outstanding. I doubt I’ll ever return to Kandy, but if I do, this is definitely where I’ll stay again.

The owners were so nice it was like home away from home they prepared beautiful vegetarian dinner for us and a packed breakfast as we left early, beautiful clean room with super comfy beds I would definitely return.
