This resort features an 18-hole golf course and is 2 km from the medieval village of Saturnia, in the Tuscan Maremma. Built in Travertine marble, its elegant thermal spa features Roman baths and natural swimming pools. I arrived puffy from eating pizza for a week and left with reduced inflammation and a peaceful mind. The sulphuric baths were deeply healing and soothing. The location is from a dream. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating. The breakfast offering was beyond my imagination! 24hrs here left us feeling renewed, at peace and feeling inspired. I will come back here many more times in my life.

The farmhouse is run by a young Italian couple and has been carefully restored to offer a swimming pool and Tuscan restaurant serving traditional cuisine and a wide range of wines. The estate also contains a charming living room with a fireplace and 3 dining rooms furnished in a country style according to the owners’ creative tastes. Good breakfast - choice of eggs or pancakes and buffet with meats, cheeses, pastries. Dinners were very nice at the hotel with a set three course meal. Excellent wines for a good price. Staff were friendly. Good location - halfway between Florence and Pisa. We were able to do day trips to these locations. Still nestled away in Tuscan hills for quiet and peace. Things to be aware of - dirt road leading to the house. Would be difficult to access without a car. Some bugs and things in the room which would be expected for agrotourism. Overall not a major issue.

The hosts, Valentina and her father were incredibly lovely and sweet. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed including some breakfast in the morning. The room itself was clean, spacious and had everything needed. We will definitely be back and recommend our friends as well.

Complete with a private bathroom fitted with a bidet and free toiletries, all rooms at Boutique Relais Villa Sofia have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and some rooms include a balcony. We planned to arrive around 7pm and enjoy dinner on our first night in Italy. Unfortunately our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until 1am. I had let them know and they assured me it was no problem and they sent easy to follow directions knowing it would be late and we would be tired. We were greeted warmly despite the late hour. The best morning we had the best breakfast of the trip in their lovely garden. The only regret is that we didn't have more time to enjoy the beautiful grounds, rooms location, and especially the wonderful staff.
