Situated in the middle of Lake Pichola and built in 1746, Taj Lake Palace is built with marble and features majestic architecture. This was one of the most outstanding hotels we have stayed in!! Absolutely everything was exceptional - from the stunning location on the lake, the gorgeous Palace suite, the wonderful meals in the restaurant to the outstanding staff!! The warmth, professionalism and ability to anticipate all our needs was extraordinary. We came to celebrate my birthday and all the staff already knew this was a special occasion for me and they all went the extra mile - starting from Mr Kunal at the jetty who set the stage and continued with his amazing hospitality to the boatman, the doorman, the rose petal shower (so fun!) to the birthday cake, Ms Rashmi and her colleagues at check in, the cleaning and gardening staff to all the servers in the wonderful restaurant- they made it a very special weekend!! I was so blown away and touched by the genuine hospitality. Thank you all so much!!

We really enjoyed the evening program at the camp. The khartal Player, and the ghoomar dance lady won my heart. The fire show was also quite impressive. The music and dance was very nice and created a good desert feeling. The tents were cozy, and the blankets kept us warm even though the night was a bit cold. The camel ride was also fun, specially for the kids. Overall a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the desert atmosphere. We liked the experience a lot.
