The pub/restaurant was fabulous ....the food was awesome and service was great. All were very welcoming.
The resort was having a dinner/dance which required tickets and they were sold out so I sent a email asking if we could go on a cancellation list. They followed up and we were able to attend the wonderful event. Now that is caring efficient service. Thank you Thank you.

This is a heritage building, nice, cozy, well located. Not a 5-star resort, however, we had a great time with everything we needed and wanted to see at a walking distance. You are not far from the Public Gardens and the Citadel.
Beautiful large room, luxury finishes
It’s more of a resort than a motel.. it’s classy, clean and designed well. Well thought of in decor. BBQ area is lite up with white lights. They have ice outdoors. Blankets if you’d like a fire. The water here is warm. There a great swimming dock with a ladder. Dog friendly. Would be a great central sport to discover Nova Scotia. More to do at the lighthouse than staying at a “motel”

Great price at this resort hotel Exceptional service by our server in the morning for breakfast and also from the bell hop Quiet & comfortable
Beautiful resort and ideal location for starting/finiahing the Cabot Trail. The lady was very friendly and upgraded our room. The room itself was huge. Had everything we needed. Everything was clean. Breakfast was good. Had a bagel, cream cheese and coffee. Parking was right outside our room. The place has obviously suffered some storm damage and there are signs explaining why aome things look tired.
Loved the location. First had a ‘garden view’ which just means you don’t see the water. There is no garden. It was sad. We changed our reservations to the little purple cottage which was so worth the extra money. We had full ocean view with fire pit in a big yard and it was nice and private. The whole resort is on dire need of repairs. I would call it rustic motel and cottages. Not a ‘beach resort’ -the name gives one quite a different idea
The bed was super comfy - compared to all other hotels I've stayed in. This is saying a lot. Most stays in other hotels/resorts I struggle to sleep due to bed discomfort (I have a bad back and I'm super picky on bed firmness.) It was so nice to sleep well away from home.
This resort is in need of renovation and the owners are going through the process, partly done (like fresh paint and new floors in our room, new tiles in bathroom), and others to do (like need new windows and balcony door). Yet very clean, well-equipped and staff is very friendly. Breakfast (continental) could be a little more varied for the price.
