I had an amazing experience at Mango Tree House. The place is simply beautiful – the rooms are tastefully decorated, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. We had a fantastic stay at Hasthi Cottage! Dasun, his family, and the entire staff made us feel like part of their family with their warm hospitality and ever-smiling faces. The food was delicious, especially the chicken curry made from Dasun’s wife’s special recipe. Dasun also helped us arrange taxis at the same rates as the PickMe app, making transportation hassle-free. We booked the elephant safari through them as well and had a wonderful experience—our guide, Ishank, was incredibly humble and knowledgeable. Overall, the service here was among the best we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

We were the first to stay after 4 months of maintenance, upkeep etc. which meant the site was in fantastic condition. Yonan exceeded every expectation of ours. Our chalet was large and well-maintained with a lovely little terrace overlooking the most spectacular setting. The river is lovely to paddle on using the free kayak, there are free bicycles to cycle into the local village and the breakfast is incredible. The host is one of the most generous and kind-hearted people we’ve met in Sri Lanka and could tell that he pours his heart and soul into his business. With only 3 chalets, there is a tranquil and intimate vibe - photos don’t do it justice! Such fantastic value for money

I can highly recommend staying there and booking their safari tour! Very nice, big and clean room. There is no catch, its a very low price AND very nice! Perfectly located to be one of the first ones to enter the national park for the safari and avoid any queues. Very convenient, since the staff is super helpful and organized the safari and transport to my next destination for me. The price for the safari was about 1/3 cheaper than the cheapest offers on tripadvisor + the guide was excellent. He had an in-depth knowledge of the animals in the park and was very good at spotting animals too. He knows the park and where and when which animals most likely will be. + all the guides call each other when they spotted animals to give you the best experience possible. I took the safari from 5.30 to 12. I really liked staying longer than just until 9 there and seeing more animals and different parts of the park. Was totally worth it.

If you're looking for a quiet place to wind down during your travels this is it. Surrounded by trees and the forest nearby the room is perfect, spacious, clean with a large outdoor bathroom with a Hot shower and lovely balcony to enjoy a cup of tea in. The staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home. They take care of everything for you from arranging safari's to taking care of every meal. The location of this property is a 10 -15 min walk from a beautiful lake and a small portion of the national park where you can spot deer, birds and other wildlife. It's difficult to otherwise get around without a tuktuk. The hotel arranges one for you if needed. Don't miss a visit to the elephant transit home at feeding time! The sri lankan food was delicious and homely, we enjoyed every meal.

Really nice stay with a lovley family. Breakfast was fantastic and included in the price. Dinner was also amazing 👏🏼 Very comfortable room with ac and warm water. We loved the stay and they arranged our safari for a very honest and good price! Hope they get a lot of nice tourists because they deserve it! Allot of respect for their work 🙏🏻

the staff was excellent, very kind miss made us food on time that we wanted. the pool was amazing. dont worry to be a little bit further from the national park, i think that you cant get to the animals any other way then going to safari anyway. they arranged our safari for a good price and took care of us really well!
