I recently spent my holiday at Pinipahana Walauwa in Matara, located down south in Sri Lanka, and it was a wonderful experience. The property is a charming, well-maintained heritage-style house with a peaceful atmosphere and clean surroundings. One of the highlights was the English breakfast, which was absolutely delightful and well-prepared. I also enjoyed the dinner options, which came at an additional cost but offered a good variety to choose from and were very satisfying. The location adds to the experience with a serene pool and a distant sea view, creating the perfect setting to unwind. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway with a touch of history!

Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of fantastic. The owner went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The cottages were beautifully designed and equipped with everything we needed. Super nice location overseeing the great Talalla beach. The staff was nice and the restaurant was very good (try their cashew curry !). It also comes with a beach access, right down the stairs from the restaurant/resort. The pool was clean and enjoyable.
