We had an amazing experience at this lovely hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the greenery surrounding the property, felt like stepping into a peaceful paradise. It even rained heavily on our first day, which added to the charm and made the scenery even more magical the next morning. The bungalow was spacious of 2 stories, comfortable, and beautifully designed. There are only four bungalows on the property, which makes the atmosphere very private and serene. What really stood out was the team running the place. Though small and long working hours, they were super friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything from check-in to meals was handled with such care. Speaking of meals, the food was delicious! Every dish we had was fresh and full of flavor. they do breakfast on tray basis and not buffet since the number of guest are limited. They call you the night before to ask on the type each person would like to order.

This place is amazing! The hosts are absolutely marvellous, they were so kind, and they gave us great tips for things to do in Ella: - a great cooking class at a guesthouse nearby - wonderful walk to Ella Rock starting right next to the guesthouse - a taxi to Yala at a really great price (first taxi we took in Sri Lanka since we did everything by bus previously) - a day trip to Haputale so we could take the famous train, but only the best part (we missed it in Kandy) The bed is amazing, the surroundings a green haven of peace, at least when it’s not the weekend or a holiday, it’s hard to find quiet in Sri Lanka during those days 😅 We could see lot’s of giant squirrels from our deck, and one morning we woke up by monkeys jumping on the roof 😊 The included breakfast was abundant and different everyday (we stayed 3 nights). After two weeks of traveling in Sri Lanka, we are confident to say that this was our favourite place.

Location is beautiful, breakfast delicious, very comfortable bed - I slept so well, very very kind hosts.

Visiting Ella and staying in this homestay just outside the city centre was the highlight of my recent trip to Sri Lanka. The accommodation represents excellent value for money and was more than adequate for the time I spent there. The room was large in size and the homestay in general was built to what I thought was a high level of quality with very high ceilings and lots of wood used throughout the building. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was designed to a high standard. This was easily one of the best examples of a homestay I say anywhere in Sri Lanka. What I found really excellent about this place was the staff, Over the several days I spent at this homestay I got to know Pasindu and Noman and given the excellent rapport I got with these guys I decided to do Wild Steps tour with Pasindu, which was basically a motorbike tour to all the major sites for one day, which I left all the travel planning and guiding to Pasindu. I also was easily convinced on my last night to take part in a Sri Lankan cooking class at the homestay with Noman and Pasindu which gave me a great deal of insight of how to make Sri Lankan food. This involved going to the local market and buying a bunch of ingredients and then coming back to the homestay and making a feast. Both activities were absolutely fantastic! What I can't express enough is what legends both of these guys were and how excellent this accommodation was. In hindsight if I planned my itinerary again I probably would have skipped the rest of my trip going down to the coast (Tangelle, Merissa and Galle) and would have spent the time in Ella, backtracking back to Colombo via Kandy and spending more time in the cultural triangle.

Wonderful family! Exceptional breakfast. A 5-10 minute walk into Ella town so you get a bit of a break from the chaos.

The room si spacious, with windows that give us light and amazing views. There is hot water and all what you can need at the washroom . Is very cozy. Amazing to observe the nature around, birds, squirrels and we saw early at morning some deers !

We loved the staff, their kindness and approachability. We have had most wonderful time herę, breakfast was delicious and the location was great too! Highly recommending!

Saranga and his team were the perfect hosts for our five nights stay in Ella. They solved all our little issues (e.g. lack of water pressure) and arranged tours to Yala (safari), to a tea factory and also a shuttle to Negombo at the end of our stay. He even provided is own phone number so we can text or call him when we needed something. The issues some other reviewers wrote with toilet paper (no idea what kind of special problems they had...) or towels are not existent. Just talk to the staff, they will solve everything! Highly recommended also because it is very quite up there but you are either used to walking or use Tuk Tuks to go down to the city since it is quite a steep climb.
