We chose this place strictly for the plunge pool and sea views, and were amazed by it all! Our mornings were spent soaking in the sunrise with coffee as the peacocks and langurs added themselves to the mix. The property is located close to beaches, restaurants and the famous smoke and britters, which is down the road from the same. David and Chamara, along with the rest of the team were available almost 24*7. All of our tiny queries/needs (activity, food and transportational options) were catered to with highest standard of professionalism and efficiency. Special mention to Lucy who gets spoiled with belly rubs all day, loving addition to the entire experience.

We stayed for 5 nights ar FlyOn Resort and we had our best stay far in Sri Lanka. The brand new hotelroom and bathroom were both spacious clean and tighdy. The bathroom had great water pressure and hot water, which is not usual at stays in Sri Lanka. Its located at a nice green and quiet area which made our stay relaxing. FlyOn has everything you need! Ocean Gateway Dickwella was our second destination in Sri-Lanka after Kosgoda in the west. Located not far from the main Dickwella beach (which we didn’t like, by the way) in Bathigama Bay, it is a real gem of Sri-Lankan shore. A stunning property right on the beach with a hypnotizing view on the Mighty Ocean. A really nice and quiet place for introverts and those who don’t like crowds and loud music. We stayed in a room for 4 persons without direct view to the ocean, but it’s not really needed. You can walk out of the room and sit in a comfortable chair watching the beauty. The room is nice, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is big and there was always hot (with strong pressure!) water in the shower. It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room, though, but not critical. A kettle, hair dryer and socket adaptors were provided by the owner upon the arrival. The host, Mahesh, is the most wonderful person! He is Mr. Cook, Mr. Manager and Mr. Pleasant Companion in one face! Although I ended up not liking Sri-Lankan cuisine too much, the Devilled chicken and fried bananas were wonderful! 150 meters from the hotel is the Turtle Beach where we spent a lot of time snorkeling. There are also a couple of café’s on the beach near-by and a small food store just across the street from the hotel. Thank you for the wonderful time we spent at Ocean Gateway Dickwella!

Large, comfortable rooms with excellent aircon. Beautiful grounds with peacocks and monkeys and shy kittens roaming around. Excellent location less than ten minute walk down to Silent beach and a couple of local restaurants enroute. Would stay again!

We chose the Deluxe Double Room with balcony and it was a super pleasant stay. The room is spacious and equipped with a good bed and a very good mosquito net. The air conditioning worked very well and was nicely quiet. In the bathroom there is nice warm water. On the terrace there are chairs and a sun bed. The room was very clean and there were no moisture problems (!!) 😊 We had breakfast at the property every day and ate almost every evening. The food was very delicious and the owners go to great lengths to make the stay perfect. We were also able to park our tuktuk on the property without any problems. We have extended our stay from 2 nights to 7 nights.

It was an amazing stay there! We got greeted by some monkeys eating mangoes in the garden followed by sooo many chipmunks! And at 5:30pm we got to see baby turtle hatching at the beach just 3 mins away, what a welcome! The breakfast was so delicious too! And we also could rent a scooter there and book a kayak tour around the lake near there, really awesome experience if you are on the adventourus side i would say.☺️
