A very unique experience to stay at this family run hotel. The experience of staying in the rainforest with the waterfall roaring next to us was great ambience. The food was home cooked and delicious. The staff were easy to contact and helpful with anything we needed.

Perfect location if you love biodiversity. Very friendly and helpful owners who gave us a lovely tour of the garden (jungle). fantastic food, best we had in Sri Lanka.

The stay was super nice because the room/cabin I had felt like my own apartment and it was perfect to be so close to nature and do the day trips to Sinharaja forest (which the host organized for me) and everything was cared for like a lunch pack and super delicious dinner on request- and great food every morning anyways:)) all of the people working at Sinharaja rest were so kind and helpful! Unrelated to the host, just about the experience in the immediate area: The area around is like a village, then town with paddy fields and everyday life happening, no jungle, that’s only when you enter the Sinharaja reserve with a guide. But that’s the case for all stays in that area.

Our stay at the edge of Sinharaja Rainforest was absolutely amazing! The accommodation offers breathtaking views from the balcony, where we could enjoy the beauty of both the lush rainforest and expansive rice fields. The peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by nature, made for a perfect escape. Thisara, our host, was incredible. He took us on a guided tour through the rainforest, sharing his vast knowledge of the area’s flora, fauna, and hidden gems. It was an unforgettable experience, walking through the vibrant trails and discovering the wonders of Sinharaja. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying comfort and great hospitality. A perfect blend of adventure and relaxation!

Such a wonderful experience! We stayed for one night at this magical place and it was perfect. It’s a cozy and clean wood house in the middle of a rainforest. Through the big window you can watch the rainforest life while you’re laying in the bed. The owner is such a friendly guy and is very dedicated to making the stay as pleasant as possible. The typical Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious! Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely stunning! The view is the most beautiful in all the village - the cabin is on the hill so you can see everything from above. Peakoks in the nearby rice fields are wonderful, you can easily spot 8 of them on one field. In the night you can see millions of stars over the village. Room was spacious, comfortable and we had a hot water all the time. Amile, our host, was paying attention to all our needs and arranged a private transport for us so we could move without any problem to our next destination. He is also a wonderful licensed guide in Sinharaja forest, so we didn't need to worry about arranging our tour to this amazing place. He spot sooo many animals for us, and adjusted the route to our preferences. He also took us to the nearby tea factory and to the huge waterfall available with tuk tuk. The food was delicious and we loved everything in there. I absolutely recommend it, this place is a paradise and you definitely need to go there! :)

Staying at rainforest cabin was an unforgettable experience. It was so lovely to stay tucked away from the main tourist traps and support this family owned business. Ravindra was amazing and so generous with his time and energy whether it be bringing us delicious home cooked meals (made by his mother) or showing us secluded swimming spots/waterfalls! To get to the cabin (as is it secluded) you have to walk approx. 8 minutes and cross two streams which for us made the stay even more of an adventure. Also, the natural swimming pool 100m from the cabin was a highlight! Absolutely loved staying here and hope to visit again in the future.

Very quiet, peaceful and relaxing accommodation. We also went on a bush walking tour with a local guide and saw many native animals. The staff were all friendly, accommodating and incredibly helpful.

it’s a very cute place, all made of woods. located just on the riverside. many birds singing around. there is a big terrace in front of the entrance, perfect for morning yoga. bed is very big and comfortable. we have visited national park near by and saw many animals, different lizards, snakes, birds. our trip was perfectly organised by the owner. he is very nice man and friendly, we have enjoyed his company. especially we want to notice that food was amazing, like in a good restaurant. we definitely will remember our stay and come back again! 😊

Absolutely the Best Way to Explore the Sinharaja Rainforest! This was our favourite place we stayed on Sri Lanka trip. This eco-lodge is hands down the ultimate way to experience the magic of the Sinharaja Rainforest. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear you’re in for something extraordinary. The location is beyond words—completely surrounded by lush rainforests, making you feel truly immersed in nature. It is so peaceful and quite - no noise from roads, traffic etc. The staff made our entire stay seamless and stress-free. They have a convenient car park in the nearby village, where they meet you and transfer you up to the lodge in a 4x4—what a fun start to the adventure! We stayed for two nights (but would have happily stayed a 3rd). The accommodation is spectacular. Large windows on every side of the room allow you to feel like you’re right in the heart of the jungle. Waking up to the incredible sounds of the rainforest was unforgettable, and we even spotted monkeys and exotic birds right in our room! Amazingly, you also get wifi in your room. The staff were outstanding, from the friendly restaurant team to the knowledgeable guides. On arrival, the Duty Manager, Mithun, warmly welcomed us, explained all the details about meal times, and helped us plan treks into the rainforest. They offer a variety of treks and provide you with a guide. They are also pretty flexible, We wanted a longer trek to explore more of the jungle and this wasn't a problem. The trek itself was a dream. We spotted an incredible variety of wildlife, including lizards, snakes, and a stunning array of Sri Lankan birds. The guides were so knowledgeable and enhanced the experience. Overall, this was incredible value for money. Running such a well-maintained eco-lodge in the middle of the rainforest can’t be easy, yet they make it feel effortless. If you’re looking for great value for money and an unforgettable way to explore Sinharaja, this is absolutely it.
