My wife and I spent two delightful nights at this enchanted resort. Sameera was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast and dinner were delicious especially when eaten al fresco. The tree-top accommodation was well appointed and charming. Going to sleep at night was blissful listening to the sounds of the forest. Chilling out here is so easy, but book early as there are currently only three lodges. Highly recommended.

Everything was amazing! Exceptional design of the whole hotel. We have never stayed in such an extremely well designed and well located place (view to the lake)- and even more: in such a „green“ hotel. No plastic!!! Fantastic breakfast and dinner. The staff was amazing and the wonderful manager always around and always trying to fulfill all your wishes! Thank you for everything— and hopefully we will come back!

The lovely couple (with their kids) has a adorable home and I stayed on the top floor with balcony. The room was clean, comfortable and met (or exceeded) every aspect of my expectation. It was the perfect starting point of my Sri Lanka trip. I feel lucky to have stayed with them. The location is near the new bus stand. Nearby there are several grocery stores, Dialog SIM card center, and a couple of restaurants and cafes are within cycling distance. They did my laundry for free. I got new clean really good quality shower towels every day (rare here). I was able to rent a bicycle from them to explore the ancient sacred city. They also kindly arrange my safari trip to Wilpattu National Park. At departure, the host drove me to the bus stop for my next destination. Overall, it was a great experience staying with them. Will definitely stay here again next time.

We loved staying in this relaxing and beautifully landscaped resort. All the staff worked hard to make it the perfect stay, and nothing was too much trouble. They helped with a packed breakfast for our Wilpattu safari, arranged drivers for various activities and a guided local walk around the village. The food was amazing - quality local produce served beautifully presented, and options included dining Al fresco in the pavilion, truly magic! The swimming pool is fabulous, the location rural and peaceful, while the city centre is only a short ride away. We also enjoyed some excellent bird watching at the resort which overlooks rice fields

Wonderful 2 nights stay at Village Life Mihintale! We were hosted by Gihan's parents (it is a family homestay), who was away on a trip. Although he was not on property, Gihan was extremely responsive to WhatsApp messages and gave us many recommendations, as well as made the communication fluid between ourselves and his parents. The room was cozy, very new and clean, a bit on the small side, but it really didn't matter as the quality and thoughtfulness put into the design of the room and bathroom were spot on. Plus a nice terrace space with table and chairs were we could relax and also have dinner. The bed was very comfy, 4 pillows provided, aircon & fan, minibar fully stocked (beers, wine, water), kettle & tea bags, clothes hanger, broom, etc... The shower has a cubicle so water does not flow all over the floor. Bodywash, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, hand towel, bath towel are available. We had twice dinner at the homestay, cooked by the mother, delicious and good price. All in all, highly recommended! Professional & honest service yet homey feeling. Bonus: we saw peacocks, mangoose and other small animals just by sitting on the terrace! Also easy road & parking at the house.

This is my second time staying at lake Edge Resort. The facilities have been improved since my previous visit. Hot water facilities are provided in all the rooms. The bathrooms and rooms are still very clean. Thank you for maintaining them.

Everything was wonderful. Comfortable clean bed with mosquito nets. Nice clean bathroom. Wimal and his family put a lot of love into making sure everything is perfect. When we didn’t need dinner the first night he brought us tea and biscuits with bananas. Make sure that you eat there !!! Dinner and breakfast were amazing. The best food we have had in Sri Lanka. Even the fresh juice was the best mix. We would go back anytime.
