Service and cleanliness were top notch Very friendly staff ,Veli and Maria in particular, and the food was great, with compliments to the chef-Boipelo. Good value for money as breakfast and dinner were included.Situated in a quite and serene environment with game to watch. The place is still new and everything is spick and span.Good for a romantic getaway.

We enjoyed every moment. Lovely boutique African bush lodge, easy going vibe, good facilities, friendly staff offering consistent service and excellent guides on the game drives. We did 6 game drives and all meals were included on a 3 night stay which was fabulous and great value The restaurant was very flexible and accommodated my dietary needs. The bar area was inviting and drink prices were very reasonable. The Lodge is spread out over well kept grounds, you feel very peaceful as it's not overcrowded even when fully occupied. The pool area is abundant in bird life and buck and zebra etc roam the grounds. Would definitely recommend and come back!

From the moment we entered Babohi, we were blown away by the exceptional level of hospitality that was shown to us. As soon as we checked in, we were asked to select a scent for the duration of our stay - such a thoughtful and unique touch that made us feel like the experience at Babohi was going to be very personalised and very high-end. The accommodation was so incredibly opulent. Aside from the stunning decor, we could tell there were so many thoughtful touches in order to elevate the experience even further. The views of the reserve from the room were also unbelievable! The food and drink were outstanding. Each meal was thoughtfully curated and prepared as well as being incredibly tasty. We very much appreciated the service that went along with the meals too. The chefs and the staff are clearly very committed to providing the best possible experience for guests during meal times. Bravo! The game drives were the absolute highlight of our stay. Damian is an exceptional guide - he is not only very knowledgeable, but he has a clear passion for conservation, the wildlife and the ecosystem. Damian offered incredible insight into the wildlife and was also very persistent in uncovering where the wildlife may be hiding (especially as we were there while it was pouring with rain). No request was too much, and no question was too silly. Each drive was unique and we saw something different each time. Also, a big thank you to Damian for getting us out of the reserve in time for our international flight - the rain had caused some difficulty with the roads but we managed to get to Johannesburg in time. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was completely luxurious, seamless and memorable. The team is committed to excellence and we cannot thank them enough for such a fantastic stay. Other luxury hotels etc. could learn a thing or two from the Babohi team. If anyone asks for recommendations in South Africa, I will point them in this direction.

When we arrived Dup ensured that Edward who manages the houses met us promptly and ensured that all our needs were met. The housekeeper was also very helpful when we required additional towels. The kitchen had everything we required and it was a bonus to be given wood for a braai. It was rather delightful to see the ostriches and nyala outside our doorstep in the evenings and mornings. We also enjoyed the view from the water hole and the lookout point as we managed to see animals in the middle of the day.

Nestled in the untamed beauty of the wilderness, Itaga Lodge is an unparalleled escape from the mundane, offering an experience that transcends the ordinary. My recent stay at this hidden gem left an indelible mark. The lodge's secluded setting lends itself to a sense of tranquility that is truly unparalleled. Surrounded by breathtaking vistas and the sounds of nature, I found solace in the embrace of the African wilderness. However, it's not just the location that sets Itaga apart; it's the exceptional service and genuine warmth of the staff that truly elevate the experience. Every member of the team goes above and beyond to ensure that guests feel not only welcome but cherished. Their unwavering dedication to hospitality is evident in every interaction, leaving an impression of heartfelt sincerity that is hard to come by elsewhere. One highlight of my stay was the captivating Game Drive led by Aleck, a true aficionado of the wild. His passion for his craft shines through as he navigates the terrain with skill and expertise, immersing guests in the wonders of the African bush. Under his guidance, I had the privilege of witnessing majestic elephants, graceful rhinos, towering giraffes, and a myriad of other awe-inspiring creatures in their natural habitat. In conclusion, my time at Itaga Luxury Game Lodge was nothing short of extraordinary. From the serenity of its location to the impeccable service and unforgettable wildlife encounters, every aspect of my stay surpassed expectations. For those seeking a truly immersive and soul-stirring safari experience, Itaga Luxury Game Lodge is the right place to be.

I liked the service from the reception, they were friendly. The view of our room exceeded our expectations. It was big enough to cater 4 people😊. Hope you can put bath mat in bathrooms to avoid wet floor and slipping.

The place is in urgent need of an upgrade.

The place is in urgent need of an upgrade. Almost all the kitchen items were dirty. The pots and pans were old and scratched. The knives were blunt. The dishwasher was broken. The bathroom mats looked like they belonged outside. The grill was rusty. The microwave is extremely old. The living room couches were terribly dirty, and the cushions were worn out and flat. The owner’s personal belongings, like cool boxes, were scattered around. The tap at the kitchen counter had no running water. The shower mats were mouldy. The advertisement of the rooms on the website did not match what we got. The single beds were extremely hard, and the bedding was old. The dishwasher was extremely dirty, mouldy, and broken. The pool cues had no tips. And I could go on and on!@

Dinokeng is a bit disjointed and its not easy to find your way around - even with the map provided. We were not lucky enough to see the big 5. The brewery is worth a visit! Not much game in the self drive area.

Loved the homey feel and character of this huge space.

Loved the homey feel and character of this huge space. It is extremely well equipped and well designed. The animals come to feed right in front of the house, and it is very close to the golf course. Main bedroom is very big, while the other rooms are smaller, so bear that in mind when booking.

I liked the game roaming freely between the houses.

I liked the game roaming freely between the houses. I had Latte and koeksisters at Auroro Tea Garden and there was a fete and dans at the local community hall. I bought pancakes, but did not attend the dans. I did not like that the community had to do fund raising to repair damage from the resend floads, no government funds are available for repairs

Mabalingwe Nature Reserve was amazing, with lots of animals to see. The proximity to Bela-Bela for a day outing is so convenient and a trip to the Warmbaths Forever Resort is a must for travellers with children. We had a fun day out and great value for money. Remember to pack a picnic basket or goodies for a braai at Warmbaths. The facilities are well looked after and all the rides were operational.

The park is structured very differently to others we have visited with more than half it seems labelled no entry private property and therefore inaccessible. We saw game on the roads around the actual access gates and nothing in the reserve itself. The accommodation options are geared to a relaxing bush getaway with the game spotted on route a bonus - definitely not a Pilanesberg or Kruger experience but offers an abundance of accommodation and dining options. Conservation and self-drive fees are applicable

Great venue to be at.

Great venue to be at. Remote but with all necessary amenities one could need. Nice club house and facilities but was disappointed they closed early on New Year’s Eve and most places were also not opened on new year’s e.g. waterberg zip line. Loved the Elements golf course.
