My wife and I had been on safari many years ago in the Masai Mara and yet Pilanesberg while different was just as rewarding. There were two organised safaris each day and each and every one created memories to cherish. I loved the staff, who were so proud of the game reserve and so committed to making sure it was a wonderful experience, always friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, the chef was just great. I loved our spacious lodge and its little plunge pool. Our safari guide Humbu really helped make the experience special. We are so grateful to him, with his incredible enthusiasm and knowledge, for the way he used his wisdom from 22 years of doing this job to orchestrate the best possible sightings for whatever animals we encountered.Guest review byPhilUnited Kingdom

The room was fine. Our biggest issue was that we were so looking forward to a good country breakfast and it was a complete disaster. The fried eggs looked as if a steam roller had squashed them and were burnt, the pork sausage was raw and the potatoes were hard and not cooked. Then asked for a soft boiled egg.....2 eggs were delivered in a silver gravy boat as no egg cups available. Egg was hard boiled. I liked the location, being situated away from the city and in the bush it was very quiet and peacful, there a great hiking trail on the property and it is close to oyher hiking venues. The house was very good value for money, hospitality was superb, and the added bonus of a safari ride in the estate was unbleivable thankss to the kindness of Belinda. Felt really at home. It was a really nice expereinece, which I have told friends and familty about and thery were amazed. Cant fault the place in anyway at all.
