We had an absolutely fantastic stay at both Hunters Country Lodge and Tsala Treetop Lodge in Plettenberg Bay. Nestled in beautifully manicured gardens and lush forest canopies, these lodges offer a serene and luxurious escape that exceeded all our expectations.Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of — from the cozy fireplace in the room to the delicious homemade treats delivered each evening. We were surprised with charming little gifts and poetic notes on our pillow every night — a truly personal and heartwarming touch. With three excellent restaurants to choose from, the culinary experience was outstanding. The food was delicious, and the wine list impressive. The decor throughout both properties is tasteful, elegant, and exquisitely curated. But above all, it was the exceptional staff who made our stay truly unforgettable. Warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile — nothing was too much to ask. Their dedication to guest comfort and genuine hospitality left a lasting impression. We were greeted very warmly by the courteous staff. The place is amazing. The service is excellent. The breakfast has a good spread and they have really good options (alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic) for drinks. The people running St. James of Knysna are particularly kindhearted and warm. I would definitely live there again if I visit Knysna again.

Lairds Lodge Country Estate is located between Plettenburg Bay and the Langkloof Mountains. All of the rooms have air conditioning. The hotel has a library and an outdoor pool.

We can only recommend to stay here if you are looking for a place around Plettenberg Bay. The staff is extremely friendly and so helpful. The food both for the breakfast as well as dinner was so so delicious. You definitely need to eat here for dinner, top tier cuisine! It has a lovely bar with a great selection of drinks. Plenty of parking available, sourrounded by a beautiful garden.
