IrelandFirstly the Setting of the hotel at harbour island is unique .The hotel has views of the beach and Helderberg mountains on one side and views of the marina village of the other.The staff are friendly and very helpful.
The reception area dining area and deck with the waterfall curtain wall create an ambient feeling when arriving there is also an art gallery with local art on display .
The rooms are spacious ,they have carefully chosen interior finishes with beautiful bathrooms with walk in type showers.The rooms have great views of the beach to the onside and pool deck and marina on the other side.
The pool deck is fantastic and conveniently located with wonderful sunny views of the marina.The pool was crystal clear and sparkly blue .
The gym looks down onto the pooldeck and is more than adequate for a quick workout before a swim.
The hotel is located above just4 africa scuba .The scuba shop do courses in the hotel pool for children such as bubble makers and can arrange dives at various dive sites around capetown for qualified divers
Finally the hotel is great value for money due to its location outside the capetown CBD in Gordons bay . It cost around 75 euro per adult (children stay free).It is brilliant value for money compared to the hotels in Capetown waterfront.

Phil greeted us warmly, helped with our luggage and picked fresh passion fruit from his garden for us. Lots of tips about the area, restaurants, and everything we wanted to know. Such an incredible property! So much attention to detail, including all the amazing amenities. Delicious breakfast, gym, sauna, pool, spectacular views, comfy bed. Love the good smells everywhere! Property is grown over with jasmine so the smells permeate your room if you leave the window open. No detail is spared. Very thoughtful design and incredibly friendly staff. Very small and intimate property. Felt like I had the whole place to myself. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Warm and efficient welcome! From arrival until check out, this establishment exceeded our expectations. You will not find better value for money in this price range. The roads are really quiet in the evenings to ensure sound sleep. The pool is in immaculate condition, but sadly, we didn't try the putting course. Lola was really friendly and deserves a treat!
We will definitely stay here during our next trip to CPT!

It is safe, I loved the Estate the propertyis on.. We were in Somerset for Medical reasons, so it was awesome that it is close to the hospital!
The rooms of the Loft are spacious, clean and has everything you need!.... the bath tub was out of this world!
And it is perfect that the rooms are across from each other.
We had a problem with the electricity the one day, which was sorted out straight away!
We will definitely be back!

Wonderful property. The rooms have a wonderful view and are very comfortable! The beach is just across the street and restaurants are nearby.
The owners are very friendly and welcoming!
We felt like home and would defenetly come back.
Thank you for the welcome -drink, our lunch box for our early travel to the airport, organizing a transfer for us and especially hosting us in such a welcoming and friendly way !

This Boutique hotel is nicely located in Gordon's Bay with an absolutely stunning view of the ocean and an ideal infinity pool. Scrumptious breakfast is served of the deck overlooking the ocean. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have very comfortable beds and pillows - I usually struggle to sleep the first two nights in a strange place but here I slept like a baby!

Everything to like about 43. It is set in a huge secure Eco Estate surrounded by fynbos. Morning walks were magical. Rooms stunning and Joanne and Murray fantastic hosts.

Very cute, has some nice shopping centres, nicely located...
Very cute, has some nice shopping centres, nicely located between Cape Town and Stellenbosch, nothing is a far drive. There can be some traffic on week days though, but if you leave earlier in the morning it's fine. Quiet place, easy to drive around or get an uber. Lots of wine farms near by and some great restaurants (trip advisor and google both have good lists for these). Some great hikes that are nearby as well.

It’s an RDP house in a township it was dark and you can not drive over ons u you get to that street it’s a dead end……after we arrived we noticed a black BMW then, we daparted as soon as possible …it also departed ons we moved im sure they are using that house to rob people.

This accommodation has a verry bad neighbourhood! You have to drive to a really unpleasant area to get to the small holdings which are then fenced and secured. But huge warning since at the gate shows how safe the area is😉

The city is well laid out and it's easy to find your way. There are some hidden gems which could be better popularised. All the amenities one would need are to be found in Somerset West and it is within easy reach of Cape Town. There are some excellent restaurants and vineyards within easy reach.

Friendly people. Amazing sites to see. Shopping malls & restaurants in all directions. Spur is located by the beach which makes it even more beautiful to look out at the beach. There's a wine farm situated not far from the location. Perfect location for a break away from your busy life.

We have stayed for a long weekend in Melkbosstrand and for the past 5 years each January in Strand. The area around Strand and the beach is nice, even though it can get very busy - it is a nice place to stay and lots of things to do.

I enjoyed getting to know Gordon’s Bay and the second hand...
I enjoyed getting to know Gordon’s Bay and the second hand book shop, which understandably draws visitors from miles around.
The mountain, where Manor House is located in Sir Lowry’s Pass, shared many different delights every day including beautiful horses, an Italian vineyard (ahem winery), a steam train complete with cheerful “toot!”
The mountains themselves give the scene an Alpine feel; the urge to sing may be unavoidable.

Loved the area, close to Strand Beach, but couldn't find local restaurants only the Somerset Mall. Maybe more info should be provided about where the local facilities are so one doesn't spend unnecessary time driving up and down hoping to find the local stores.

Gordons Bay is tucked into the curve of the bay.
Gordons Bay is tucked into the curve of the bay. It is a quaint fishing town but offers so much. The beaches and the Harbour, where there is always something happening. Cycling from Gordons bay to Betty's Bay is a must. Beautiful coast line to walk around. Wonderful restaurants where you will always find the local people enjoying themselves and want to include the visitors. Many wine farms only a stones throw away. All in all Gordons Bay offered us as a family a wonderful couple of day to exercise, braai, walk and have memorable time together. Excellent destination for just getting away.
