- From US$322.26 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 445 reviewsThis place is actually such a lovely experience. We went there as a couple on our honeymoon as part of a trip around South Africa and found this place on booking.com. We're so so glad we came here. The staff are really what made this place what it is. Every single person introduced themselves. Everyone was accomodating and was proactive - this is what differentiates transactional customer service with an experience that makes you feel valued and welcomed as a family member. Now, I must say that driving there should definitely consist of a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle. We made a massive mistake of driving there from richard's bay in a tiny red dishwasher of a car, in the pitch darkness. However, the staff know about these issues and actually all live locally (they even know how many hippos are in the lake!) So they came in a pick up truck to help navigate us when we got scared of the animals at night. Directions on Google are being fixed but I'd either recommend Waze or I'd recommend using the directions given by the hotel. We arrived about 20 minutes before a major storm so some activities were off the table (like visiting the wetlands as they were flooded!) For the rest of the week. Though we went on all other tours. Even when we didn't have cash to pay our driver for the big 5 safari (highly recommend) the lodge just paid it and billed us at the end, saving us yet again! When we asked to move rooms as it can get quite slippery and my wife's ankle is bad, they did it in 20 minutes. When we wanted laundry done before our next leg, they promised 24 hours and they did it in just over 12 (they were dried and pressed too!) To add to all of this, they've got board games and amazing cocktails and food to help you kill time. The food actually was a major highlight. We worked our way through the whole menu as it was so nice! The burgers are a highlight by the way! They even called us a few days prior to arrival to check our dietary requirements.Guest review byEhab563UTDUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 100 reviewsI had a lovely stay at Leopard Walk Lodge. It was perfect. Everbvody at the lodge is lovely. They offer a broad variety of activities and organize every chosen activity for you. Food is awesome and abundant. The suites are located in a beautiful Sand Forest, very private and quiet. It is awesome to wake up watching a duiker or a wildebeest walking past your deck. The suites are beautifully decorated and luxurious. Whenever I come back to the Hluhluwe region I will book there again. It was pity that I could only spend two an a half day there. Looking forward to being back and meeting those lovely people again.Guest review bySaschaGermany

St Lucia is a great holiday destination.
St Lucia is a great holiday destination. Nice small village, you can walk freely at any time of the day or night. The John Dorys was fantastic. Spar and Shoprite allow you to purchase what ever you forgot at home. Traveling to Cape Vidal was epic, we saw Rhino and Hyena just passing our vehicle. Please check what time is low tide so you can better enjoy snorkeling at the reef.Guest review byEugene - 10.0

I will always recommend to have a tour guide when you getting to the wild side because our tour guide was more than the word perfect in terms of understanding the area and animals and the zoo as whole.Guest review byThulisa DludlaSouth Africa - 8.0
It is THE place for scuba diving in South Africa!
It is THE place for scuba diving in South Africa! We can only recommend it ! Beaches are empty and one can snorkel on the house reef during low tide. Pity about the state of the reserve in general as it is not maintained and one often find no running water at the showers located at the beach.Guest review byTrouble13South Africa - 6.0

Central to a number of tourist attractions, i.e. Umfolozi National Park, St Lucia part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. The town is a typical bustling, vibrant rural town, traffic a bit chaotic. I was staying for business purposes, If on vacation I would have probably stayed closer to where the main tourist attractions are.Guest review byNigel - 2.0

We booked for 6 nights but left after the first night. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. The owners is misrepresenting the property. There was no ice machine. Aircon was not working. Shower is not draining the water away. Pool and entertainment area needs TLC. The unit was cockroach invested.Guest review byWijkieSouth Africa - 10.0

Set in the wilderness of KZN, this is a beautiful and comfortable lodge fitted with all the comforts one would need. Beds are comfy and the air-conditioning works superbly. The outside showers are amazing, you will love the pool and the hiking trails around the reserve. Spot the extensive bird life, zebra, buck and giraffe. Pack for a braai, because this place lends itself to the braailife.Guest review byFirozeBSouth Africa - 10.0

The road from Ermelo to Pongola, especially just before and after Piet Retief/Mkhondo is terrible. Rather take a longer route which ended up being quicker and safer as you didn't have to worry about the state of the road.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

There honestly isn't anything we didn't enjoy. The rooms accommodation was large, well kept, clean, and a great place to get away for a few days. The communication was great, the staff very helpful and if we needed anything, they were quick to assist.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Our time at Sodwana Bay was just what we needed!
Our time at Sodwana Bay was just what we needed! The diving was fantastic, as usual. There's so much to see underwater, from vibrant coral to curious marine life—it never gets old. For the family, the beach was perfect. The water was warm, which meant the kids could spend hours swimming without getting chilly. Plus, the currents weren't too strong, which made it safe and enjoyable for the little ones to splash around. It was a great mix of adventure and relaxation for everyone.Guest review byThanX4SmoKinG - 10.0
