Langa Langa Tented Safari Camp with its safari drives into both Kruger and Sabi Sands is extremely value for money. It allowed us two different experiences - one from a short distance while on the road (Kruger) and upclose and personal with the animals (Sabi Sands). The tents were very comfortable, the spread of food provided daily was more than adequate with 3 meals provided a day in the price, the food was absolutely delicious. Langa Langa staff were all extremely kind, happy and hardworking - both in the camp and on safari. Jack, our Langa Langa guide who brought us into Kruger for safaris, and Jurie, our Sabi Sands guide who brought us into Sabi Sands for safaris, both went the extra mile to get us great sightings of the Big 5 (which we did!). We had an absolutely wonderful time at Langa Langa and would highly recommend it to our friends and family. (:

The lodge is situated beautifully in the Sabi Sands park and the whole team behind it made the stay very enjoyable. A special thanks to Chloé, our amazing guide, who really went above and beyond for her guests. Her knowledge of the bush and driving skills were really outstanding. If I come back I will request her as my guide. The rooms are a little crowded but beautifully decorated, the staff around meals were superb and the food delicious. I really recommend this lodge and if you go, request Chloé as your guide!

It is a wonderful place, i travel a lot around the world and this accommodation camp is unique. The tent is very confortable in african style, food is as in a restaurant and 2 games drives are included. You will see many animals and close, for me after 2 days i saw the big fives. It is very good value for the service, the safari...thank you the friendly staff for their kindness and mickael my guide he did his best, and gave many information about fauna and flora. All meals were fantastic. and hospitality was amaizing! We stayed there for our honeymoon, and a wonderful gift was kindly prepared in our room. On the game drive, we were able to go deeper into the area than when we drove on our own, and were able to see valuable scenes of animals, such as lions eating their prey, from a distance of about 3 meters. We recommend staying at least 2 nights if possible. Thank you to Kapama for providing such a wonderful time.

Absolutely everything about Africa on Foot is amazing. Staff are attentive, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. They truly make the the place what it is. Outstanding hospitality (best we have had). Facilities are clean and tastefully decorated. Food.. Just Wowwww! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were always a treat. The pools were beautifully located and clean. The rooms were spacious. The morning walks were such a treat. The guides are first class and work hard to show you as much as possible, whilst also giving you interesting information about then bush and its animals. The arvo/night drives were out of this world. We saw soooo much. Lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, hippos, giraffes, hyenas, antelopes, birds!! And much much more. This place is a must. Don't hesitate to book. We wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights.

Wish I could rate Sausage Tree an 11/10. We had an absolutely magical stay and couldn't have asked for anything more. The lodge is incredible and exactly as pictured. The terrace and pool with the sky deck were so relaxing to sit at during the day - once I even came up for air from a swim and there were 5x giraffes right there - coming to drink at the watering hole right out front. The tents are very nice and well furnished also, we found them spacious and relaxing. The food was also really nice, some really nice meals and we loved eating out under the stars around the fire with our fellow guests. The Balule reserve itself is awesome - it's not as well known or established as some of the other private reserves which is actually great as it's less crowded, but still full of wildlife (we saw lions, leapords, white and black rhinos, hippos, elephants, giraffes, zebra, warthogs, hyena - you get the picture) and beautiful terrain (hills, plains, rivers, watering holes etc.). What really should be mentioned and which is tough to describe though is how incredible the staff is. As it's a smaller lodge (only 5 tents), the staff is really like a family, and each and every one of them we formed a bond with. They were so gracious as hosts and helped us at every point. The owner James is also full of stories and super friendly. Special shout out though of course to Themba (our safari guide) and Jimmy (our tracker) for the amazing game drives every morning and night. We saw and learned so much - but most of all we laughed a TON. Everyone working at the lodge are such great people and we would love to come back one day.

Once in a lifetime truly amazing experience! Every single detail was truly perfect, the highlights were of course the amazing safari, the exceptional staff and superbly delicious food. It was really a 5 star experience with every aspect of the trip fully included and at the highest level. Ryan our game driver was the best - he went out of his way at every moment to make sure we had the most enjoyable experience and it wouldn't have been the same without him. He had great finds of animals and was a wealth of information - we saw the big 5 in our first day! He is funny with a great personality that made the experience even better than I could imagine. Chef Alex - The food was exceptional, we couldn't miss a meal and always looked forward to what he created. The best food I have ever had at an hotel or all-inclusive experience. He was able to customize any meals for my partner who is vegetarian with ease. Songs (our butler) - Really took care of us and made each dinning experience even better, with his kindness and great personality. His wine recommendations were always spot on. Also to mention the heated pool was a major bonus - with so much time spent going on game drives I am sad to say we only got to use it once. The price did seem expensive when booking - but when you consider how many game drives we got to do, the exceptional meals we had and the amazing service it was really worth every penny.

Every single part of our stay was 10/10 The game drives you are taken on are amazing - we saw the big 5 in the first 3 drives. Joshua, our ranger and Difference, our tracker were superb at their jobs; super relaxed and highly skilled at what they do. The food is out of this world! The staff are extremely nice and accommodating of any request but they are not too ‘in your face’ either - they allow you to make what ever you like of your stay. Elizabeth and Thambi and their team do such amazing work with fresh and local produce - every meal was an experience to remember! Jan is one of the waiters and bar men - he was so kind and friendly in his engagements with us, making us feel welcome and give us an insight into life in the area. He chatted freely about his life and asked about our lives. Getting to know him and the other staff was a real bonus of the trip. You come as a tourist and leave as a friend.

We had been looking forward to this trip for months. And once we arrived, we were amazed. You find yourself in a paradise setting. Both the lodge and the views are unforgettable. This, combined with the “homely cosiness” created by the entire crew, makes you want to stay there forever. The game drives are of an unprecedented level. Ruan and Ntiyiso guided us and searched for trails and tracks of the animals, usually finding what they were looking for. The vastness of the area means that some days you see more game than others, but that's what makes it special because you really feel like you're not driving around in a zoo. Ruan shares his vast knowledge in a smooth and pleasant way and is always willing to provide additional explanations. (And the meals after the game drives are also great). Ruan, Ntiyiso, Caldon, Amy, Maggie and the rest of the team: we will definitely be back!

Simbavati is a magnificent place. So quiet, scenic and luxurious. Brett and the team are an amazing bunch and took care of us as guests so well. We received the same hospitality that was afforded to international tourists which is refreshing. The tents are clean, comfortable and the outside shower is wonderful. The deck with private daybed overlooking the dam is so peaceful and relaxing. The food is tasty and personal service is attentive. The game drives we had with Josia and Derreck were undoubtedly the best safari experience we've had. We saw the big 5, and much more. As an overall package, the experience was well worth it and exceeded our expectations.

Location was amazing to see all the wild life. We saw the Big 5 within the first 2 days. Every single staff was highly professional. The lodging was simply luxurious and amazing. Great attention to detail from start till the end of our stay. Free shuttle to and fro to airport. Quite a nice destination for international travelers and younger people who want to have a bush experience. For 77 year old South Africans we found the facilities not so user friendly at the Wild Olive Tree Camp. Did not really get to see much of Manyeleti but did have some good elephant sitings. In general game viewing was a bit disappointing but that is the luck of the draw.

Sabi game reserve is quite big with many private lodges...

Sabi game reserve is quite big with many private lodges inside. It is open to Kruger park, so animals are free to roam anywhere. The difference is that the ranger and tracker can actually follow an animal wherever they go (without entering Kruger). It is expensive , but if you can afford it, the experience is quite different. The ranger and tracker that took us for a drive from Umkumbe were great. The ranger spotted a chameleon on the tree, in the dark, under the light beam from the trackers torch, at a distance of about 25m. We have no clue how! Great experience to be able to go offroad in the vehicle and get really close to the animals. A leopard had hidden their kill in the tree, which we went back to after dark, when the leopard had come back. Unfortunately that was the only cat we saw that night. Saw a hippo and a hyena too, but that's just luck when you are out in the bush. A family on the previous night had seen the leopard kill the buck as well. The private Sabi game drive is expensive, and depending on how lucky you get, you might think it is either worth it/or a waste of money.

It was a brilliant experience, in particular the game drives and being out in the wild. The resort is excellent! Tips: No loo on a 3-hour game drive so don’t drink too much before heading out. For photographers - consider using two cameras - short lens and long lens ones. Saves having to switch lens if you have two cameras ready. Speed if reaction is required to capture some shots.

I am South African and I was bringing my family to see where I came from and experience the bush. This place was perfect for a family . They rooms for families are excellent, giving everyone enough space and the beds where very comfy. There is no TV - but there is bush TV - each day elephants, warthogs, various species of buck, zebra etc came and spent time out the front of our deck. We sat 1m away reading a book. We go so close it was wonderful and the kids got to experience the beauty of watching an animal relaxed and happy in their own environment. Andre and Nicholas were amazing guides who were patient and funny and taught us a lot about the animals and the environment. The food was amazing and you never felt like you wanted or needed more. Pretty much everything was made onsite. The breakfast was beautiful and the Boma experience was lovely! Thank you to all the team at Simbevati River lodge for making my family’s introduction to Africa such a wonderful memorable experience! And the animals - well we saw the big 5 in less than 24 hours and because the guides know their stuff we had plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with many of Africas famous and less famous animals. The highlights were the Lion and Leopards and of course the dear family of elephants with tiny babies and also the baby hyenas! You will not be disappointed at all !

A fantastic private lodge with a beautiful rooms and tastefully decorated. The host Ian is outstanding as a person. If you are there especially for the hide photography I would recommend 4 days. We were unlucky with the two days we stayed in terms of sightings but that all changed the day we left. Hence would recommend at least 3 if not 4-5 days to better your chances.

I paid 5,700 Rand for 3 evening drives in the reserve each lasting around 3 hours. I've been on many a game drive in the area over the years and when game spotting I am optimistic and realistic at the same time. I saw a 3 lions and a leopard along with other animals. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate my overall experience as 6. If I were to travel to the area in the future I would book 1 drive and concentrate my game viewing in Kruger Park.
