This is a hotel within the Laborie estate, and has all the character one would expect from a superbly maintained wine concern dating back hundreds of years. As they correctly announce on their website, 'traditional charm coupled with modern luxury'. A wonderful room in a superb setting, with an excellent breakfast served. Perfect!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was immaculately decorated, with a perfect blend of style and comfort that made us feel right at home. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, adding a peaceful and relaxing backdrop during our stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we had plenty of space to relax and unwind. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, well-maintained spot with an amazing view and a fantastic host. Our hostess, Esme, was incredibly welcoming—quick to respond, friendly, and always happy to help with anything we needed.

Beautiful place. First time in Tulbagh, and Duikersdrift was a marvellous place to stay. Very kind host welcomes you and the staff is very kind and professional. The rooms are perfect, with a view over the surroinding valley and mountains. The pool is excellent and well maintained. This is an ideal place to relax some days and explore the valley. We ahad two dinners in the Italian restaurant Daphne, located at Duikersdrift, but different owner. Very good pasta and pizza, very friendly staff. We liked it very very much. We should have booked a longer period…. Tulbagh is a very nice town, with the historic Church Street.

Our experience at La Petite Ferme in Franschhoek was nothing short of outstanding. The breathtaking views surpassed even the most stunning pictures we had seen beforehand. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their warmth, professionalism, and seamless communication. We requested something at reception, and by the time we reached the restaurant, the team there was already aware and ready to assist which is an impressive level of coordination. Our room was spotless and serviced twice daily. In the morning, our bed was made after we got up, and in the evening, it was perfectly prepared for a restful night’s sleep. This thoughtful touch added to the sense of luxury. A special mention goes to Johan, who truly elevated our stay. He recommended fantastic wineries and restaurants, planning a personalised itinerary that far exceeded anything we could have found online. The restaurant staff were equally remarkable. Their attention to detail and efficiency ensured every meal was a pleasure. Overall, our time at La Petite Ferme was unforgettable, and we wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful retreat to anyone visiting Franschhoek.

Wow the best place ever! we had an amazing time here. The rooms (hut) are a bit outdated but that didn’t spoil the fun for 1 second! the views are beautiful, the pool, the bonfire dinner, the activities all so amazing. the best thing was the staff! pretty much every single member of staff watched my son Noah for me at some point so I could enjoy my time. a special shout out to ranger Paul who went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay! thank you Kagga Kamma <3

Very comfortable room with outdoor seating area. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were the only ones staying and had a chance to view the upstairs rooms. These appear small on the website however would also be very comfortable. Highly recommended as a very comfortable place to stay. The location is reasonably close to the main street however most may prefer to drive in and out. Will definitely return to Grande Provence.

The area where these houses are located are great. Its so beautiful and quiet. The house has everything you need for a few days of relaxation. I loved the braai (barbeque area) and the kitchen was very well equipped. We passed by here when doing the garden route and its a great place to stay for a day or two. I would highly recommend a visit to Stellenbosch.

I would highly recommend a visit to Stellenbosch. It is a beautiful small university town with nice trees, trails, shops and restaurants. The wineries are excellent. It is such a nice atmosphere after the hustle and bustle of Cape Town. It is easy to walk or bike around the town. Feels safe and welcoming. We had a wonderful time on a bicycle wine tasting tour that included history of the town - highly recommend

The best part of Franschhoek has to be the wine!

The best part of Franschhoek has to be the wine! We visited 12 wineries in 3 days, 2 of which were on the Wine Tram. Thoroughly enjoyed them all! Staying centrally in a guest house was a good choice as it allowed us to explore Main Street with all its shops and restaurants at our own pace on foot. We liked the Tuk Tuk experience that we decided to take to a nearby winery and found it great cost effective fun. The scenery is stunning wherever you turn-- nice to just take it in at a leisurely pace. Food was excellent everywhere and the wine-- well, that's the icing on the cake! Small town atmosphere appreciated after a larger and busier Stellenbosch. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Very cute, has some nice shopping centres, nicely located between Cape Town and Stellenbosch, nothing is a far drive. There can be some traffic on week days though, but if you leave earlier in the morning it's fine. Quiet place, easy to drive around or get an uber. Lots of wine farms near by and some great restaurants (trip advisor and google both have good lists for these). Some great hikes that are nearby as well.

Tranquility but the roads was not good at all. For non residents of Cape Town you should take into account that it is quite far from Cape Town centre and the price for Transport transfers are very high. Please do not try Aquila the price is relatively very very high and not worth it.

I went to see friends in Worcester - my first trip there. I was on my own, so found the 10 days too long, as I did not have transport. I was thinking of looking for work there, but not many opportunities for my speciality - aimed more to tourists. People friendly - unfortunately their Tourism Bureau has closed down. Have to be aware of crime, but all over S.A. anyway - lot of poverty. Had a lovely stay all the same.
