BelgiumWe arrived stressed at Graskop as our car was giving warnings and losing power. We tried to arrive as fast as possible at Matilda's place to get the key. As soon as we arrived we were out of stress thanks to Mathilda. She was extremely nice, she showed us around and even suggested the garagist she knows to get our car checked. At the end the car was better and we drived to Hoedspruit where the car was swaped - this as per Mathilda advice. Finally Mathilda was like an Angel for our trip to Graskop - she was so human by helping us for our car while it was not really her issue. On top of that,, Mathilda gave us also super recommendations for everything we needed : petrol, supermarket, restaurants, and Panorama view best spots. I would definitely recommend 2K City Studio for anyone that needs to stay for a few in Graskop before continuing his trip.

This acommodation has excelled our expectations. It was unfortunate that for us it was only a passage, before arriving to Sabi Sands and our game drives. We actually arrived at the property after 8pm, knowing that we would leave at 8am of the next day, and regreting the fact that we wouldn't spend too much time in such a beautiful place. The property as a whole is a little piece of heaven, with it's own small animals - ducks, impalas, chickens, cats, dogs... - wondering around while you have your breakfast (must be reserved in pre-advanced and paid on the check-out), well cooked by the kind staff of the place.
The room is beautiful, you can see that each corner was thinked and tried, with a wonderful decoration anywhere you put your eyes on. There is a bedroom/living room, with a bed - and the sheets, the pillows, the blankets - very soft and warm, There is a lot of space for luggage and stuff as well. You will also have a beautiful bathtub and an outdoor shower, a kitchen outside, and a beautiful and cozy wooden table to chill out, if you want. Amazing.

Simple and basic accomodation with the most amazing view just in front of our doorsteps and the cosiest warm blankets in our beds to stand the cold southafrican winternights. As a family we spent a lovely week there, enjoying the friendliness of the staff, a breathtakenly situated cold-water pool, a good restaurant and of course the surrounding.

The swimming pool is simply amazing! the views were great and staff was incredible, specially Rebecca. We let her choose the cocktails for us and she made THE best ones, had great laughs with her, she’s a star. Room was comfortable and breakfast was very tasty :)

If u have car this lodge is perfectly located to visit panorama activities around. Very clean quiet and comfortable and nice host. The closest grocery is 8km away so bring some food if u plan to take breakfast or other meal in ur house (kitchen is functional)

Booked a 1 night stay for my family of 4 at Forever Blyde River Canyon. The viewpoint was exceptionally beautiful. The pool area is really nice and the overall resort is very clean and well maintained. Quiet and peaceful.
The 4 sleeper chalet is not something I would book again in it's current state.

Kampersrus is about 30Kms from Blyde River Canyon so if you have activities planned there, it’s the perfect budget friendly town to stay at. I highly recommend it. The only downside is that it has limited shops, and the shop closes at 6pm. After that you’ll have to drive to nearby towns for restaurants etc

It is an eco lodge so everything works off solar. There was only 1 x unit with a fridge which is a problem if you are self catering as one needs to keep food and meat refrigerated. Wi-fi knocked out by storm but we weren't pre-warned that it was out and there is no signal there at all.

I have heard on the radio that Pilgrim's Rest was 'revamped" a few years ago, but what a disappointment.
Great strides were made to install shopping units for the local traders to sell their goods - but all of the traders were selling the exact same African Art.
We were there on a Saturday, and most of the other museum-like shops were closed. It was a ghost town. The local pub was open, and we had a drink. There are only two shops you can buy something from, and they seem reasonably priced, but I will not waste my time. Sadly, no one can think outside the box to liven up the place. It has so much potential!

After a disastrous experience elsewhere, arriving at Graskop Hotel was an absolute relief. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared that guests were comfortable. The hotel has real character — stylish, quirky art everywhere, but still spotless and welcoming.
The rooms are spacious, well-kept, and properly equipped with everything you need. The beds are comfortable, the showers are great, and the Wi-Fi actually works.
The food at night was amazing — full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. Well done to the chef. Breakfast was generous and fresh, with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
The location’s perfect for exploring God’s Window, Blyde River Canyon, and all the nearby waterfalls, and it feels safe and easy to get around.
After a rough travel day, this place restored my faith in South African hospitality. Highly recommended.

It was great to see all the sights around the area such as Bourkes Potholes, Mac Mac Falls, Graskop & Gods Window which we hadn’t seen for over 30 years. However I wouldn’t stay in Sabie again & would have preferred a farm or country house to stay at.

Kampersrus is a rural residential town with a definite bush character. The area is divided into plots of different sizes where several guest houses, lodges and private residences were developed. The town is flanked by wildlife reserves on both sides, so at night you hear lion and hyena. The whole village has beautiful views on the mountains.
