Our family had a wonderful stay in Homestay Hoà Thào. It was warm and cosy and the hosts were lovely. They provided us with a great breakfast to start the day and organised an amazing motorbike tour with Sua which I highly recommend.

Mu Cang Chai exceeded expectations for beauty- the rice terraces are Wow- Motorbike hire and restaurant within 100m - recommend a manual bike if you plan to visit the more elevated rice patties for better handling on the steep hills - a few locations taking a ride from local motorbike guides to specific rice fields up very steep and dangerous roads is the best option at 100k a person - rode one myself and realised their bikes were better suited than the one I rented. Great Homestay - kind people - even dropped us off at the bus pickup point - we stayed in a rustic bungalow on the hill at the back of the Homestay - a cool experience- Brent & Jacqui NZ

If you want to be close to real life of Vietnamese, try this place. It's in the middle of hills, with one of the best views which I have ever seen, close to villages where you can find people, which are still not so influenced by tourism. The room was clean and nice, but the most important point is the personality of the owner, really brilliant lady who is able to organised everything what you need. And the dinner with her and her family was the excellent and very pleasant experience.

The hosts were absolutely amazing. Their kids were great too. Luck has it we arrived just before the Snow Tea Festival and we wanted to extend our night. They were fully booked but were able to create more room for us so we could stay. The took us to the morning games. The accommodation was great too. The hot springs are the best after a long travel and the houses were nice and clean. We definitely recommend staying here. We had a amazing time and I can’t wait to get back. Thank you for the great time we had staying with you!

    This is a great stop if you would like to break up your travel from Hanoi to Ha Giang. The facilities are clean, very important to me, and the location is a perfect halfway between cities. Family members are well versed in a few languages making communication very easy. Please take part in the family dinner offered.     The host was very kind and suggested us the best spots with views over the rice fields that we could visit. The lodge is sitting on top of a small hill overlooking the surrounding rice fields. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. You can also opt to eat dinner at the place, which we found very delicious. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to experience the real Vietnamese countryside life style.

    Definitely the best Booking I ever made! The location is wonderful, on top of a hill with a wonderful view around on mountains and rice fields. The owner family is so nice, food is excellent. Really one of my greatest trip experiences. Just one thing: if you ride a motorbike, stay parked down, don't think like me you can go up without falling aside 😅

    Mu Cang Chai has similar things to Sa Pa, in terms of...

    Mu Cang Chai has similar things to Sa Pa, in terms of landscape, culture and people. However, Mu Cang Chai is more deserted and authentic for experiencing and exploring, moreover, all the beautiful terraced fields that represent the promotion in Sa Pa come from Mu Cang Chai. This is definitely an attractive destination in the future in Vietnam although the travel conditions are not really good.

    The wonderful quiet place with perfect room with own toilet...

    The wonderful quiet place with perfect room with own toilet and shower air-condition friendly people strong WiFi for each floor all house outside secured by cameras. The mountain and river view includes waterfall and rice fields. In luxury interier is fireplace and several places to sit or have a barbecue. Just the best place we staed here in Vietnam.
