Excellent staff. Nice comfortable stay. We booked one of the little huts with a balcony overlooking the pond (which is a better option than staying in the main building). Nice comfortable stay. Location was at the far end of Tac Coc after you drive through the main street. We liked the location as it was near the limestone karsts & ricefields and only 20-30 minutes walk into town or bikes for hire across the road. Lots to see in the area. Breakfast was fabulous. Lots of delicious food to choose from & unlimited coffee.

Breakfast buffet was excellent…. Good spread of local Vietnamese foods & plenty of local fruits. Reception staff were very helpful…made a lot of effort (over 2 days) to fix our room wifi. Helpful with recommendations for attractions & walks. Special thanks to Thor & Wendy who were super hospitable.

Omg where do I begin? The place is a eco friendly establishment in a very quiet area in Trang An. The staff is extremely friendly and will help you with booking buses and recommending where to visit during your stay. We also got 2 body massages and they were the best I’ve had in Vietnam! The food at the restaurant was so so good! Glad we stayed with them!

I could not fault my stay at Tam Coc Wonderland Bungalow. An amazing place to stay if you are in Ninh Binh from the location to Tam Coc, the staff, the rooms and don't even get me started on the breakfast. As I am a solo traveller they organized a motor bike to take me around all of the sites. 10/10.

Firstly, let's begin with the receptionist (Nguyen) what an amazing lady, a real asset to T.C Peaceful Nature! She has assisted with everything that was needed and went above expectations. It’s a super special and amazing place. Bungalows are simple and rustic, but cozy and comfortable and the best thing is the surrounding; pure peace, nature, river, mountains and the best host. They were super nice, arranging the transport for me, early check in and late check out, booking the bus, giving me advice what to see and for Christmas Eve they organised a joint dinner. You a rent a motorbike there as well. The location is magnificent, so if you don’t mind a mosquito or two and you want to be in a nature, while being comfortable, this is a place to go.

It’s beautifully located, the area is perfect to explore on a bicycle. Plenty of small restaurants nearby. Homestay also has a restaurant and the food is really good! Breakfast is included and it is a good one! We used their pick up service from Hanoi and I can sincerely recommend it - driver was very nice and car was big and comfortable. Ah and in the mornings you can spot kingfishers :)

We had the best time here, what an amazing place. Beautiful Resort situated in the countryside of Ninh Binh. The rooms are very spacious and the bed very comfortable , Breakfast and dinner are good quality and very varied. We particularly enjoyed the excursion with Mr. Thanh who is a very knowledgeable guide to Bai Ding- Trang An Cave. We would definitely go back soon.

We ended up staying here last minute when our booked hotel 'lotusfield homestay' double booked our room and left us stranded. Ninh Binh valley homestay came to our rescue, and even picked us up. Ninh Binh – Vietnam’s Hidden Gem

Ninh Binh – Vietnam’s Hidden Gem Ninh Binh absolutely blew me away. It feels like a quieter, more peaceful version of Ha Long Bay but on land — stunning limestone mountains, rice fields, and winding rivers everywhere. I took a boat ride in Tam Coc, and it was incredibly scenic and calm, passing through caves and local villages. The people were welcoming, and the food was delicious and cheap. It’s the perfect spot to relax, explore nature, and escape the city rush. Easily one of my favorite places in Vietnam!

As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh Binh, less than a mile from the train station. It is probably the friendliest place I've ever been - I think I was "helloed" by just about everyone under 10 I saw. But the highlights are really in the surrounding countryside, so I would recommend planning for a few days out to see the nature reserves and participate in the activities. You don't need to travel far, and can get Grab taxis or bikes if you don't have your own transport.

I had a wonderful experience at Lighthouse Hotel in Ninh Binh. The hotel is located in a convenient location, near markets and attractions, making transportation easy. Rooms are clean, comfortable and fully equipped with amenities. In particular, the receptionist is very friendly and enthusiastic, always ready to assist customers. The hotel also provides a private cooking area and dining table for guests, creating a feeling of home. The yard is spacious and airy, providing a relaxing space after days of exploration. I will definitely return to Lighthouse Hotel on my next trips to Ninh Binh.

We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a...

We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a day or two longer. It's a very laid back area and there is lots to see. We stayed between Trang An and Tam Coc and used bicycles to get around. The quieter location suited us but for younger travellers Tam Coc is more vibrant. The walk to the top of Hang Mua viewpoint is best done in the early morning (we went before breakfast) so it isn't too crowded and not too hot. There were mountain goats roaming around when we walked up (around 7.00am) but they'd gone by the time we descended and more people were arriving. We didn't take the boat ride in Tam Coc but we took a boat ride in Trang An. The scenery seems more mountainous around Trang An than Tam Coc. On the day we went the water was high so we couldn't go into the caves and there was only one route open, which seemed to be a mix of the other routes. The boat trip lasted around 2.5 hours and was excellent. We also visited the old town at night, which was nice. It's all lit up and there are some good places to eat on the waterfront. Bich Dong temple is also worth visiting. There is a staircase leading up to a smaller shrine and to the left of that there is a passage through a bat cave and up to another small shrine outdoors.
