It was just a lovely place. So beautiful and the staff extremely friendly and caring. The hotel was in a great location and they gave bikes. It was so beautiful and easy to ride around the area. There was some issue with the transfer but they compensated us. I am so sorry we spent just two nights here - 3 should be the minimum to see everything that the place offers. The hotel was great, the staff were great and the breakfast was great!

A wonderful stay! This place is just a short walk from tam coc center, yet it feels quiet and secluded - perfect for relaxing. Everything is new, clean, and well maintained. We traveled around Vietnam, changed several hotels and this is the best place where we stayed! New beautiful hotel, new clean rooms, with large comfortable beds, clean towels, bed linen, there were even robes! Hot water with good pressure. There is a swimming pool and sauna. Breakfast is prepared for each guest of his choice, very tasty. Free bicycles from the hotel. The hotel rented us motobikes and helped us buy bus tickets. Incredibly friendly staff. They met us before check-in and took us to the bus. After check-out, they allowed us to take bikes and take a shower, gave us tea. They told us in detail what was best to see. The hotel exceeded all our expectations, considering such a pleasant price for the room. There is a construction site not far from the hotel. This is the only minus. It did not bother us. And all the hotels also had construction sites nearby, this is normal for Vietnam We really wanted to stay longer, but other places were waiting for us. Thank you very much for such a pleasant time in your hotel, we really hope to come back.

The Trang An Aroma Ecolodge is a really beautiful place to relax. The staff is very friendly and supportive. For breakfast we could always choose between two different dishes like egg and bread or pancakes. Coffee or tea was served also for breakfast. The view over the rice fields is magnificent and during night one can see the Pagodas on the mountain tops near the Mua Cave.

This was a lovely, quiet place to stay in the countryside. My room was absolutely lavish, and well worth the price! A gift of strong rice wine was a nice surprise. The staff were excellent and helped me decide what to do during my stay. I enjoyed biking around the nearby countryside; it was absolutely gorgeous. If you are a birder, the area is really nice. The marsh across the road was brimming with yellow and cinnamon bitterns, waterhens, coucals, rails, kingfishers, prinias, fantails, herons, egrets, and so many other good things! You can try fishing just down the road, and there is a short walk or bike ride to an excellent boat tour through some caves for a very reasonable price. I wish I could have stayed longer! Special thanks to Tau (I hope I spelled your name correctly). This lovely lady was so nice, friendly, and helpful to me! The whole staff was amazing. Would love to visit again someday.

This was an amazing place to stay. We had a lovely time and it is perfect in every way. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The level of hospitality was incredible. I would have stayed longer if I could and this is the one place that if I ever get the chance, I will go back to. The views from the Homestay are amazing and I spent a lot of time sitting in their comfy chairs on the water looking at the beautiful scenery. Food was great - we had everything we needed right here.

We had the best time here, what an amazing place. Beautiful Resort situated in the countryside of Ninh Binh. The rooms are very spacious and the bed very comfortable , Breakfast and dinner are good quality and very varied. We particularly enjoyed the excursion with Mr. Thanh who is a very knowledgeable guide to Bai Ding- Trang An Cave. We would definitely go back soon.

We ended up staying here last minute when our booked hotel 'lotusfield homestay' double booked our room and left us stranded. Ninh Binh valley homestay came to our rescue, and even picked us up. The rooms were comfortable and ever so peaceful. The family that runs it are all very helpful and their kids are adorable.

Everything is an incredibly good service. They are helpful with absolutely amazing tours to Trang An and Tam Coc with a private guide and driver, which can only be recommended. Our guide Thong is the best guide we have ever had. He gave us two fantastic days with full catering, ice-cold water, stories, and much more.

Ninh Binh – Vietnam’s Hidden Gem

Ninh Binh – Vietnam’s Hidden Gem Ninh Binh absolutely blew me away. It feels like a quieter, more peaceful version of Ha Long Bay but on land — stunning limestone mountains, rice fields, and winding rivers everywhere. I took a boat ride in Tam Coc, and it was incredibly scenic and calm, passing through caves and local villages. The people were welcoming, and the food was delicious and cheap. It’s the perfect spot to relax, explore nature, and escape the city rush. Easily one of my favorite places in Vietnam!

As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh Binh, less than a mile from the train station. It is probably the friendliest place I've ever been - I think I was "helloed" by just about everyone under 10 I saw. But the highlights are really in the surrounding countryside, so I would recommend planning for a few days out to see the nature reserves and participate in the activities. You don't need to travel far, and can get Grab taxis or bikes if you don't have your own transport.

I had a wonderful experience at Lighthouse Hotel in Ninh Binh. The hotel is located in a convenient location, near markets and attractions, making transportation easy. Rooms are clean, comfortable and fully equipped with amenities. In particular, the receptionist is very friendly and enthusiastic, always ready to assist customers. The hotel also provides a private cooking area and dining table for guests, creating a feeling of home. The yard is spacious and airy, providing a relaxing space after days of exploration. I will definitely return to Lighthouse Hotel on my next trips to Ninh Binh.

We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a...

We spent two days in Ninh Binh and could have easily spent a day or two longer. It's a very laid back area and there is lots to see. We stayed between Trang An and Tam Coc and used bicycles to get around. The quieter location suited us but for younger travellers Tam Coc is more vibrant. The walk to the top of Hang Mua viewpoint is best done in the early morning (we went before breakfast) so it isn't too crowded and not too hot. There were mountain goats roaming around when we walked up (around 7.00am) but they'd gone by the time we descended and more people were arriving. We didn't take the boat ride in Tam Coc but we took a boat ride in Trang An. The scenery seems more mountainous around Trang An than Tam Coc. On the day we went the water was high so we couldn't go into the caves and there was only one route open, which seemed to be a mix of the other routes. The boat trip lasted around 2.5 hours and was excellent. We also visited the old town at night, which was nice. It's all lit up and there are some good places to eat on the waterfront. Bich Dong temple is also worth visiting. There is a staircase leading up to a smaller shrine and to the left of that there is a passage through a bat cave and up to another small shrine outdoors.
