- From US$346.08 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 886 reviewsWe had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. It was wonderful! There was coffee and tea at the end of the hall near the elevators in the morning. We enjoyed the 3 fire pits outside the restaurant and gathered there with other guests. We met some interesting people. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. We ate there both nights, I had the seafood pasta and my husband had the swordfish. I also had a Caesar salad which was perfect, not too much dressing. The desserts and bread were excellent too.Guest review byElizabethUnited States
- From US$245.28 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 52 reviewsLoved This Place! Stay Here!!! Property Owner/Host Marcus is wonderful! He upgraded our room upon arrival. Great and helpful information on Idlwilde Inn's website regarding house and grounds, Watkins Glen. Check it out before you book. Beyond charming property, delicious breakfast, coffee and tea available 24/7, within walking distance from town (it is on a hill, so anyone with impaired mobility would need to take a car), convenient parking.Guest review byAmandaUnited States

The Vintage Grand Prix weekend at Watkins Glen was on our bucket list for several years, and it was very much worth the wait. The Friday events included the vintage race through the downtown, and it was amazing to see all the old race/sports cars thundering down the main drag. The historic recreation of the technical inspection of the pre-war cars at Smalley's Garage was the highlight of Friday's events. It was awesome to be able to walk the stunning falls in the morning, browse the shops in the afternoon and view the vintage race at 6pm. The array of bars and restaurants with so many cuisine choices was quite amazing for such a quaint business district.Guest review byKevinUnited States - 10.0

A great town featuring a beautiful lake with nice parks and scenic areas alongside. The Smith Opera House is a great venue for a concert and the area has a number of nice restaurants, including one adjacent to the opera house. While we were there on a Sunday and many businesses were closed, there appears to be a number of interesting stores, shops and eateries to explore.Guest review byRonaldUnited States - 10.0

What was really nice is the place has many wineries.. The bad news is it needs to update the days and hours that they are open. Watkins Glen was amazing. The town is very walkable. The surprise is the park itself, driving thru one would not know the natural beauty. Driving around was easy.Guest review byCarrieUnited States - 10.0
Loved it!
Loved it! Watkins Glen Gorge Trail was so beautifull, as were the other waterfalls in the area. We went on a sunset cruise and learned a lot about Seneca Lake, and enjoyed the comments of Dan, up on the top of the boat. Later, pizza back at the house was yummy. And the food was delicious but quite expensive at Capt. Bill’s restaurant on our 1st night there.Guest review bySabet - 8.0

Hector was very quiet when we were there probably because it was on Weekdays. Not many restaurants in Hector. We visited a distillery which we enjoyed and ate at the Scalehouse brewery. Pizza was good but it was very noisy.Guest review byRobertUnited States - 10.0
The location was beautiful.
The location was beautiful. You have a waterfall in your back yard and you can hear it inside the apartment. It is very peaceful to sit on the deck. There are several steps that you have to walk up to get to the unit so if you have trouble walking it could be an issue.Guest review byJanetUnited States - 10.0
Everything was great.
Everything was great. The yurt is very big and had all the facilities we needed. The temperature at night was ok with the fans, eventhough it was very hot outside and the location being 4 minutes walk from the private dock on the lake was perfect.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful town that we are planning to visit again in the near future. We felt our weekend stay was too short. There is more to enjoy that just the gorge and waterfalls at the State Park (which in and of itself is a great experience). We stayed at Lakeside Resort which is top notch. Watkins Glen has several restaurants which are high quality. Even the cafe of the State Park served delicious sandwiches. Several vineyards are accessible from village. Corning is also close by and the Museum is worth a visit.Guest review byGeraldineUnited States - 10.0

Wagner wineries had the best Reisling I have had in a long time. And we received a wonderful history lesson in grapes. Smoking Pete's has to be the best bbq we have ever had as well. So beautiful in that area.Guest review byJulieUnited States - 10.0
