Whilst it did not have its own restaurant for dinner or breakfast, these were available within a few hundred yards with plenty of choice in the quaint high street. Situated in a quality town, staff extremely helpful & provided us with a very enjoyable stop off on our way to Vancouver airport. Not far from the I5 & Blaine boarder crossing. Would definitely stay there again, thoroughly enjoyable experience. Bellingham has a really nice safe vibe.
Bellingham has a really nice safe vibe. Family friendly, no skyscrapers, easy to get around. Lots of great restaurants, coffee houses etc.We much preferred it to the big city vibe in Seattle. I like to bike and I found a great bike shop to rent a nice bike. The Interurban trail and South Bay Trail are amazing. Fairhaven has good shops and restaurants, and a nice little library. Lynden is an old fashion community surrounded by dairy farmland not far from the Canadian border with great views of the Cascades. The whole town is very clean and neat with the historic downtown area a pleasure to see & visit. There are some excellent eateries scattered about. We are an older couple so we enjoyed the feeling of a small community that has adapted very well to accommodate population growth. We were quite pleased with Whatcom Transit bus service that took us wherever we wanted for only $1 per ride. We enjoyed just riding around then walking the trails and downtown with a delightful meal at the old Horseshoe Cafe.Guest review byRaiskums
