This is a standard-like motel from the old days - but it is suprisingly modern and well kept. I booked it because of the looks and the price, and was genuinely impressed. The rooms were in excellent shape and had many quirks and perks. You have to go there to see it. They managed to keep the vintage flair, and I'm glad they did.

Very clean hotel with a well-thought-out room layout (practical shelves for luggage). The furnishings look almost brand new – the hotel itself seems to be quite new as well. Breakfast was surprisingly good by American standards – they even had real cheese slices (!) at the buffet. Special praise goes to the staff, who were always making sure the entire hotel complex was spotless. Overall: absolutely top rating and highly recommended!

It was clean, modern, roomy, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I left my air buds and got a call by the front desk letting me know. I was at the golf course at the time and told them I would come by the hotel after my game and pick them up. The woman (and I've forgot her name) said she was getting off work and could bring them by the and leave them with the golf shop. I thought that was truly an example of going above and beyond for the customer. I could never have expected such service anywhere else. In fact, most other hotels those air buds would have been gone. Thank you and I can't wait to stay in your hotel again.

Way better than expected! It was impeccably clean, even remote controls had a cleaning kit. Bed was comfy like a big cloud with fluffy pillows and sheets, huge tv’s in both living room and bedroom, a lot of amenities and extras like s’mores kit for the outside fire pits, refillable water bottles, a binocular, games, books,… Really felt spoiled here, def better than 3 stars and worth the money

The dinner is really good and we like the location, it was perfect for the train stop too. We appreciate that our luggage was already at the train station upon arriving late from our tour. We just regret that we didn't have time to give a tip to the driver of the red car that brought our luggage.Thank you so much.

Since we were in what I would call the in-between season at Whitefish, I'd say we were lucky to be able to get reservations at the restaurants when and where we wanted. I suspect that's not the case during peak skiing season. The town of Whitefish has a charming center with lots of interesting shops. Most importantly, they are a lot of really good eating establishments. We had breakfast at The Lodge at Whitefish twice because it was convenient and actually affordable compared to other eateries in town. We ate all of our dinners around town because the lodge was considered over prices for dinner. It's a town that's easy to get around and most enjoyable.
