Plenty of parking, great location to amenities and points of interest. Clean room, comfortable. Could walk to restaurant, pharmacy next door. Close to points of interest. Just up the road from Vermont's Largest Candy Store. Within 30min or less to Lake Champlain Bridge, Chimney Point / History Site - Fort etc... Pretty easy to navigate Middlebury. Great motorcycle riding all over for those who ride.Guest review byTammyUnited States - 8.0

There are self-guided walking tours of the town to do, restaurants to enjoy, art guilds and galleries to spend time in, pleasant people to talk to wherever you go, and trips to surrounding areas to explore and then return to Brandon for a quiet night's sleep. I could see myself living in a small town like Brandon where people know each other and care about each other, as well as welcoming "outsiders" to the community.Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10.0

A charming, walkable downtown with lots of greenspace and places to sit and enjoy the ambiance. Quiet for a college town. I visited in April, so it is likely much more active in the summer with the Language Schools and Breadloaf Writer's workshops. Lovely period architecture and elegant residential structures. Otter Creek and the waterfalls are pleasant features, as is the old Marble factory area. If you like organic foods, there are several options. My favorite was the Middlebury Natural Foods Coop on Washington St. Great place for groceries and for "grab & good" healthy foods. The Sheldon Museum showcasing Vermont history was closed for the season, but it is nicely located downtown within walking distance of shops and restaurants. There's limited shopping but several nice art galleries and taverns.Guest review byClariceUnited States - 4.0
I didn't like that there was not a guest elevator.
I didn't like that there was not a guest elevator. We did not like that there was not a TV. We were disappointed in the breakfast and the total lack of attention we were given at breakfast. We were expecting to have personal service and not just a Super 8 breakfast that we could have had at one-half the price.Guest review byjaneUnited States - 4.0
Horrible room. So tiny and dingy.
Horrible room. So tiny and dingy. I booked a deluxe room, nothing about it was deluxe. Make sure you see the actual picture of the room before booking. Beware of room 124. Stayed at this hotel 20 years ago and we had fond memories of it. Boy have things changed, the manager needs to get a better grip on his hotel. They advertise and recommend their dining room . On the Friday we arrived and the next Sat, it was closed for a wedding. On the third night it was closed no explanation.. the service for breakfast was dismally slow and the food was good but not always hot. Do not book with booking.com as they did not reply with a solution to my room problem.Guest review bycandaceCanada
